Regretting an APRN degree
That it is how it is in the bay area not only for a midwife but for FNP jobs as well. Although I graduated from a well-known bay area university and did an on-campus FNP program, it is hard to find a position for new grads. I am also in the same boat as you and I recently quit my job as an RN.

What to do when Nurse is attacked and employer doesn't file police report?
I agree that patient' violence happens often in psych facilities! That is why they have a high turnover rate, especially where I worked. But, not all psych hospitals pay " big bucks". I started psych because I could not find any other job after my graduation. Due to workplace violence, I switched my job status from full time to per diem status and went back to school. After my graduation, I worked on the floor until COVID started and decided it is time to quit my job as I no longer feel safe as management did not provide PPE to care for patients and many coworkers tested positive for the virus. I quit psych recently and I am glad I did and now I can focus on my new role as an advanced practice nurse.

I am not so sure . I heard that attending the open house is mandatory to be considered for the Residency program. However, if the people who are invited would, for sure get the job , then, definitely ,I would attend the "meet and greet" open house. the tickets from CA to GA are not that cheap! How about you are you planning to attend their open house?

Oopsiedaise, I also live in CA and I am wondering if you heard from the RN 2014 residency.

I got an invitation to attend their open house next week. I am wondering if the nurses who received the invitation " meet & greet" are selected for the residency program. any input is appreciated .

Need Public Health Nursing Certification
Thanks injecthope and rudycoon for sharing. I am also having hard time trying to talk to BRN about child abuse requirement for PHN. I will take the course through Zurinstitute like rudycoon since the board accept this course.

4510 Section #15220 is open on Blackboard
Thanks cincinursemary, this assignment is modified from what you had; it states that at least one in text citation and reference is a must. It was NOT clear if we should write it as a letter to a school or as an essay. Unfortunately, I did not open it early to be able to communicate with the instructor and it is due today at 08:59 pm (Pacific time). I spent most of my time trying to understand APA format.

Thanks bushrn75 for the inputs. I still have two questions (select all that apply), that I could not answer. Did you get the same questions the second time?

Do we have to write assignment # 3 as a letter of intent to specific graduate school? For example, address it to Ohio University MSN program. Or we do not have to mention any specific graduate school? FYI: I believe for this paper, we have to follow the APA format requirements and put the running head. There is a grading rubric attached to the assignment; the APA format title page worth 3 points and the overall formatting is 5 points. 11/20 points is just for the APA format and reference!!!!

I did not pass the self-test. What a start! I want to reatke it but I did not find the answers for the questions I missed. The handbooks did not give me specific answers.
