  1. HI, I'm in the traditional BSN program. It sure feels like a strong and organized program. Whether to go MEPN, or BSN... don't know. I think only you would know best. Maybe an advisor here can help you decide. MEPN sounds good!!
  2. I chose UofA, with no regrets. You get that real college feel at the UA college of nursing that you just don't experience at the NAU Tucson campus. We get expert guest lecturers all the time, which helps to keep long, boring lectures more interesting, etc etc etc. Apply to both to keep your admission chances as high as possible. If one doesn't work out, no big deal... important thing is to graduate with a BSN!
  3. If I may interject.... How does ANCP differ from AECP? And HOW do you get info on applying to them? Thanks for any tips!
  4. Thanks for the tips! I was active 4.5 years, now AZNG in Tucson. I sent out the info email to SFC Florey, but not getting any answers. I wonder if one can be accepted into AECP after already having started nursing school (i start in january at the U of A.) And where can these "helpful" AECP recruiters be found? Hehe, this is so counfounding!
  5. sent you a pm
  6. Hi all, I'm trying to get info on how to apply to AECP, but am coming up dry. I'm starting BSN school at the U of AZ 12Jan, and would like to submit my aecp packet asap. Anybody know what a good first step would be? Best wishes and thanks so much for any guidance!!
  7. Hi everyone,do I've got entry into NAU Tucson and U of A's BSN program, and am trying to decide which one to go for. Is anyone familiar with the differences/styles/vibes of these two programs, and how they compare, or which one might be "better" than the other? Thanks, and best wishes!! -J
  8. Nah, I'm at the Tucson campus. Get nosebleeds at 7000'.... just kidding. See you on graduation day though!
  9. okay, I can join the party now! They got my house number wrong-- that's why the delay in getting that magical letter.
  10. Good to hear you guys got your letters. I haven't received anything yet. Maybe they're sending out for the Tucson people later... who knows.
  11. I put down for Tucson 1st, then Flag. Say... is it just coincidence, or is that a Thai flag?
  12. Hi, here's another fall '10 applicant undergoing mental torture! I've got a 3.65 prereq gpa, 88% hesi cumulative score, with BIO202 and ECE107 in progress at Pima CC. Don't know if it'll help any, but am EMT licensed, army medic veteran, and have hundreds of hospital volunteer hours accumulated. I talked to a nursing advisor who told me they're making their decisions this week, and we should know by mail next week. Best of luck to everyone!!
  13. Hi, I did not apply at UofA for fall '10, but instead at NAU's BSN program. If I don't get accepted there this time, I'm applying at UofA for spring '11. So I'm curious about their competitive prereq GPA levels, etc. Have you heard of your status yet? Best of luck!!
  14. Hi, I'm a 31 year old male and about to apply at a local BSN program. Even though I'm not too bright, I've got a high prereq GPA with plenty of community service and will most likely be accepted into the BSN program. During the past 10 years I've worked at a factory, leaning on a drill and getting dirty before joining the Army and crawling in the mud for a while. I don't shave every day. I'll be a nurse soon. I hope you don't have a big problem with that.
  15. Hi, I'm nearly finished with my BSN prereqs and about to apply at the U next month. My brother has been a BSN for 3 years now, and I'm wondering... generally speaking, is admission now tougher than it was about 3/4/5 years ago? For example, I don't recall my bro ever doing community service, which now is pretty much compulsory for admission consideration. Thanks and happy new year to everyone!!
