  2. Was this a true write up or just a med error report?--She (as well as you) is probably required to write up missed meds. In the last hospital I was at we were encouraged to write up med errors, for patient's safety as well as not become responsible ourselves.
  3. Thanks everyone for your input. I guess I should have been more clear. I was interested in help with the patients that we are aware of a decline but not an obvious decline. I appreciate all your help!
  4. I am new to Hospice and our Palliative doctor will be giving an inservice on "Hanging the crepe" to assist us RN's in charting for the hard recertification. I was wondering if there were any other suggestions out there? Thanks in advance!
  5. Wow! I would like to go that way!
  6. At my hospital we have these nice little rubber deals that fit over the amuple top where you break it off and the glass stays in them. I think that they work great even better than an alcohol pad.
  7. As a LTC Lpn for 3 years and a med aide for 3 before that I always made a sheet that hourly listed meds and other things needing to be done. We had usual time for med pass and in the beginning I would write out all the room numebers at all the passes that recieved medication. Eventually I learned tem all. Unfortunatly by then things would change:) Good luck!
  8. Gosh I am still trying to deelop a system also. It sems like in school I had everything down pat, now even after 3 years as an LPN I struggle to get organized. I just don't think that I have found something that works for me yet. I have tried diffrent methods and still flounder.
