  1. Hey all, Don't sweat it. Most of you will be accepted if you got an interview and if you don't get in what ever school you go to will be fine. It's really no big deal. AVG they say is 100k but i think its more like 130k if you don't have any savings.
  2. Hahahah busyyyy no time for much but its real fun if you dont stress out much.
  3. Hello all! My name is Jeremy Ho and I was in the same position you all were in a year ago. I'm currently in the GEPN program and hopefully I'll be seeing some of you soon. If you guys have any questions you can always pm me. Jeremy
  4. hey Jess, I'm also going for the ACNP program. I was at New Haven the 22nd but had my interview on the 23rd I think... I'm also stuck figureing out where I want to live. When I was in undergrad I also lived in the dorms for all four years, which is why I am also leanign toward living in the dorm.
  5. yeah... I receieved the max on the fed loans. and 7,500 for scholarships. I don't know if I can afford taking out 60k the first year either..... I still have to buy a car withj insurance....
  6. yep :) Yale University - School of Nursing Class of 2012! search for it or PM me your face book name so I can send you all an invitation.
  7. Interesting topic we have here.
  8. mmm i applied to simmons but i dont think they will get back to me in time before i have to make a decision.
  9. Hey does any one know if we should fill out CSS forms? Are qualified for it?
  10. annie are you the same annie in the yale forum??
  11. Hi every one! I'm very sorry about the bad news. I hope you guys get into your favorite school you applied to. Congrats lola, I will see you there. I was thinking maybe we can go some where for some food. I don't think I want to carry food around with me. By the way my interview is on the 23rd I will be there on the 22nd. Good luck to the rest of you. -Jeremy
  12. can you believe it we will find out early this week about interviews.... time has really flown by...
  13. in boston?
  14. :wink2: sevillaes, I'm sorry for making it sound like it was a negative comment. I'm just trying to reassure people that no matter how things turn out it was meant to be and every thing will be alright. I dont want people to have all their hope and dreams in getting into Yale then become depressed if they didn't get it or worry to death when there is no need. I am certainly not as confident as you think I am in getting into nursing school and I do have all my hopes in it, but I know I have to remind my self it is not mentally healthy to be terrified that I won't get in and be sure not to spread my fear amongst others. (I could be wrong. maybe for some people it helps to hear other people nervousness to destress themselves.) Your right we are here to support each other and learn from each other and I wish the best of luck to you all.
  15. I think its possible... But then we also have to take in consideration there are a some amount of nurses with BS and their NCLEX with out jobs right now since boston is saturated. Take a look at some other fourms.. https://allnurses.com/forums/f153/how-long-did-take-you-get-job-new-grad-339639.html
  16. I don't have a answer to all your questions but I do know that some hospitals dont hire RN's any more. Boston is moving toward only hiring bsn. I will say it will be hard from the start to find a job in Boston with only a RN, let alone to get money to move (that is if you only have a RN)... there isn't really a shortage. As for working as a grad nurse I think you can as long as u have ur RN. (hospital understand if your in grad school with just a RN. It's easier to get a job if your a RN in a graduate program compare to just a RN.)
  17. Hi cheris don't be nervous... you did what you can and what ever happens I think you'll still be alright.
  18. -_- I don't under stand why people get nervous... If you get in you get in if you don't you don't.
  19. Im applying for the direct entry program for fall 2009. I turned in my application like a while ago... I know i'm way early. did you graduate from a four year college?
  20. that's sad .... not being able to attend nursing school because of aid. I hope that doesnt happen to me ...
  21. Any one applying for Simmons for fall 09? I will be applying for the direct entry program for adult care. I am curious to see if there is any one else applying there or attending the college.
  22. Hi every one! im hoping I get in the direct entry program for fall 09
