  1. I'm in the same boat! I was so excited when the hospital called me to set up an interview and was very frustrated when I was told after the interview that they were unable to offer me the position because of my lack of experience. Well why even interview me and get my hopes up if all this information was on my application. I felt sort of humiliated in a way. Like you I've applied to other ads but no call backs at all. I'm even considering moving just to find a job. I was soo excited and started studying for boards after I graduated (June 09') but now I'm like whatever. Now I'm more worried about finding a job then studying.
  2. Thanks and I will continue to hope to get hired also!
  3. Can someone clarify exactly what an employer means when they place an ad for a nursing job that says "eligible for new grad"? I am a new grad and was told after my interview that I did not qualify for the job because I have no experience. Ummm hello I obviously have no experience if I just graduated last month! Any thoughts on this?
  4. Let me guess... and I bet you are one of the nurses that doesn't even want to be bothered by students. At least you sound like one of those "kind". You kind of forgot that you were a student at one time. Or did you know everything when you were a student? I doubt it!!
  5. This was not very professional of her. Why do these nurses get away with this kind of behavior?
  6. Yes it's funny how these nurses forget that they too were students at one time. They obviously teach us how not to be.
