Oh i know that, they issued license to my classmate who were in the same situation as me. they still sent them their License... i was just wondering if i do get my license, should i wait till 2011 May to provide SSN or do i need to inform them ASAP

PASSED nclex!, confirmed about taking exam without SSN. now all i have to do is apply for license. they sent me a form. to pay IDFPR $50. Now Im wondering how am i going to update the SSN with IDFPR once i get it?... I know you have to provide SSN b4 renewal but, will i get introuble if i start working already when i get my EAD/SSN? i will be getting my SSN soon, my papers are half way processed. I got a schedule for USCIS fingerprinting tomorrow. ... any input?

this is so annoying. due to my processing papers.. etc. so i delayed taking Nclex. i didnt realize that my candidacy was for 2009... calling my school and continental testing... again.

yeah thats what i didnt make it clear with my friend who was in the same situation as me. She applied for NCLEX without SS.. got her license (same week she got her SSN from her 2 & 1/2 month process), and when had to renew it.. (she took it in march..... same year it was expired on MAY) she had to renew it... she wasnt asked for a SSN. She was already working in Hospital after she took the exam.

thanks. :) my friend got her license in IL even without a SSN and expired visa. so im not that worried. Hopefully i can finish this NCLEX already just need the SSN that will be supplied to me. Cant wait to work!.. >. and I'm already taking pre-req and finishing support classes for BSN. Thanks silver.

Hi everyone. I am also applying for NCLEX in IL. I do understand you can sit for it without SS... I got several classmate took the exam, some still not working until today but have the license and some did thru marriage. leme tell you straight that my I just got married couple months ago with my long term gf... I'm applying for Nclex... but at the same time MY immigration papers process just started couple days ago......... Just a very simple question that i want to know.. Will I ruin/delay any immigration process if i take NCLEX without SS? ( i got an expired visa- fixing now thru marraige) - i know it takes 2-3 months to get my SSN/IL state ID after processing my papers.. but i think im going crazy and the veins are popping in my head (DAILY!) from studying these materials over and over:uhoh3:. I just want to get this over with!!!! >. I apologize if I OA... lol anyone who studied nursing would know how i feel. lol. really need anyone's reply right now, Thanks =S

What if you are taking NCLEX in IL, without SS.. are you going to be penalized for it? professor from CCC said i should just take the exam, since im getting married this may with my longterm gf (i got expired visa).. Can i Still take exam without getting in trouble? I know you got one year to provide SS# once you renew of license. - Suzanne/Silverdragon i need your help on this one. i have not taken my exam yet bcoz i dont want to risk anything. I am planning to take NCLEX-RN in IL... im wondering, i have expired visa... but i already graduated in one of the City colleges of chicago juz 2009 after taking HESI...... Heres my question... i know it must be already discussed but i want to make sure and not mess anything up... any answer / reply would be fully appreciated... I will be getting married next year 2010(legit) and finally fix my papers hopefully. I called continental testing for taking exam without SS# this oct. 2009... even though my visa expired already, they said they will give a temporary no. (not a temporary SS# like the person who posted this) just to sit for the exam and its up to me to update to the state or whatever.. it would not be in their hands anymore... Im wondering if i should take the exam and be given a temp. no. but what im confused at is that, so they will provide a temp#, How am i going to update that SS# once i do get???? where do i call or update that.... i read some topic and someone mentioned about everything will be fine until renewal of license?... Will i get introuble if i take the NClex right now and wait til next year after i get married to get my SS#?.. and WILL i receive a "hardcopy" of the license and just renew it after i get my SS#?... Also...... Is there also a timelimit to provide a valid SS# to state/licensure? I read something about Il be investigated when i apply for Nclex, i guess through finger printing and background check?
