Go check other UW DNP threads. One person from FNP received notification. So it should be coming...

And just want to say in past years those with acceptance letters had small envelopes too. So there's hope...I hope

Well I'm not sure my chances this time...and my husband is military so we are only going to be in WA 2 years anyway. This is my only shot :/ Will check mail later. I'm in CA now so may be another day or two. Again best of luck to all!!

Saw this thread and wanted to say a sincere good luck to you all (hope that's not weird). I graduated from FTCC in 2008 and it was a great program. It prepared me for my MSN from ECU as well. I'm not sure what professors are still there as we had major transitions. But again good luck!!

Again I completely see where the OP is coming from as I was there myself...but it's all in perspective I believe. Plus of course some of us go on the offense when someone is questioning our profession that we have spent years and years dedicated to. I sincerely hope the OP continues with nursing school, has passion for it, and does well. We need solidarity with strong nurses rather than those who only see the "downsides" of it. I suppose the old saying is true: "When sharks see blood in the water..."

The OP sounds like I did when I was a NA and in nursing school. While I fully appreciate what the OP is saying I must agree with the others. My perspective completely, completely changed when I was the nurse caring for my patients. Of course I saw lazy nurses when I was a CNA, but I also saw lazy CNA's as well. As others have more eloquently stated the load of responsibility as a nurse multiplied exponentially than when I was an CNA. I had "mean" nurse preceptors in nursing school but I also had "mean" co-workers when working on the floor. This is real life, not school. I fully understand your point OP but again as someone else said, get a couple years under your belt on the floor and then examine your mindset. We all have our place in the world of healthcare and the optimum goal is to achieve team work and promote excellent patient care. If that is not your passion or desire then nursing is definitely not something for you.

The past two years haven't found out until mid-late March...so I'm guessing we have a couple weeks of this horrible waiting. Good luck!

Absolutely agree on the essay portion. Always a tough line to sell oneself and not look proud doing so. Thank you for the information on what they said. I really wish they would specifically make that a requirement or at least post it online where those of us who can't make sessions can see it. I did explain my situation in the personal statement...we will see if they give that consideration. And just when I was feeling somewhat optimistic. :/ Good luck to you as well! I too submitted my application for the AGNP-AC track for 2016. I'm honestly not sure what to think of the process. I have been a nurse since 2008, have 2 years ICU experience but haven't worked for almost 6 years as I lived overseas for almost 5 years. I do have my MSN but really worry about the whole not working bit. Reading through other posts some were accepted with only a year experience though. So they obviously accept students based on more than experience. I'm honestly expecting a rejection letter just because I am unsure what to think, especially my essay portions. Any one else feeling unsure about it all?

Yes I applied for AGNP-AC track! Anxious to see what happens....hate this waiting game
