  1. @MelissaM4 I am very excited that you like your work environment because my environment is very hostile.
  2. @Kooky Korky You are absolutely correct, I found myself in an unusual position working a full-time faculty position. The director of the program is a "big bully" the entire environment is hostile, academia is a very hostile place most people on the outside do not realize this.
  3. Maybe you want to check out Nurse Unlimited in Dade on 441, in the Lincoln Square or Plaza. They might weekend or evening classes. Good luck.
  4. Source testing is an OSHA compliance that all employer must folllow. My friend brought some information received from her employer at the begining of her employment. It clearly stated source testing with consent from the patien and employer shall cover all cost. Thanks everyone.
  5. A friend of mine was stuck with a dirty needle her employer refused to have the source tested. They told her she is violating the patient's rights, by wanting the patient tested. She is having horrible side effects from the medications she was put on and would like to get off if they would go ahead and test the source. Do you think this is a OSHA violatation?
  6. aanwyn, you and i are in the same boat my recruiter doesn't seem to know what he is doing either. I was wondering if it is possible to get another recruiter.

  11. Recently i spoke to an army nurse recruiter and i have completed the application. My main issue is my weight i am trying very hard to loose it. The recruiter told me i must meet the weight requirements in order to go forward with the application process. Any tips?
  12. I love it!!!!!!!!!! Some of these managers are so fake, I happen to have one that acts like a perfect idiot. If she ask us to work on a day when they are short and we refuse she gets extremely upset. The next day she calls you in her office to tell you something negative. I think that is a form of retaliation.
  13. Thanks for the info.
  14. runninmomof7 Thank you very much for the information
  15. Hello everyone I am thinking about joining the Army reserves, i am a registered nurse with 4 years experience in med/surg, tele, rehab and oncology. I am 41 yrs old, any ideas, i will be talking to a recruiter within the next 3 weeks, what are some questions i could ask a recruiter? I heard that if you are in basic training and get hurt you cannot report it because they will send you home true or false? Thanks.
