  1. I did Kaplan and Hurst and I totally recommend Hurst. I actually thought boards was easy after taking the review. Passed first time with 75 questions. All nurses can be your best friend when studyiing for your boards if you do your research. :) Good Luck!
  2. Hey guys do you know when and what time your nursing orientation will be?
  3. Heard they are taking 50 RN, I don't know about LPN.
  4. One of my friends also received a call today getting in the part time program. Just wanted to let you know the fun has just started. Good Luck to everyone!
  5. I got in JSCC with a 195 points last summer but did not attend, I chose to go to CACC. I'm sure you will have no problem getting in. I got my letter the first week of July last summer. Good Luck!
  6. Hey you guys I'm also in 3rd semester RN program. 1 1/2 weeks ago I went to talk to a teacher and someone commented that they were on the D's on applications. So I'm sure it will be in the next couple of weeks. Our class will be coming into your orientation to get to know some of you. I'm sure all of you will have no problem. First semester pretty easy 2nd is from HELL 3rd so far so good
  7. You can do it!!! A's are possible I know several people who have done it. The only thing about taking them in the summer is the length of the classes. I think Micro is 4 1/2 to 5 hours long.
  8. I just got through my first semester and it was a lot of hard work but I pulled out making all A's for the semester. 1st semester clinical I did not have any weekend clinicals but some did. Really it is just luck of the draw who goes when and what times. You really have to be flexible to what they want. Going in I had a 3.8 GPA and I had 195 points so I'm sure you will have NO problem getting in. 1st semester we only had clinical once a week and the second semester we will be having clinical twice a week. The teachers give you a schedule at the beginning of the semester of all your clinicals so you know well in advance when and where they are. I am very satisfied with the program, I believe the teachers really know their stuff and teach it very well. Also the school does ATI testing and I think those books are wonderful! Well that is it for me I know I can't give you a 5 semester run down but I hope this helps. Merry Christmas!!! Good Luck!
  9. I surely beleive you will get in with those points! We would LOVE to have you!!!:nuke:
  10. Hate to say it but it is watching TV. I don't get to watch during the week so the night after a big test I let myself watch. It has about killed me with all my fav shows on. :)
  11. I am in the RN program right now and it is a everyday program. Here is my schedule. Mon, Lab 7:30 -10:20 Tues Pharm 12:00 -2:50 Wed - 7:30 -10:20 Thurs - 8:00 - 3:00 Fri - Clinicals. This is just the first semester and I am ONLY taking nursing classes, so I'm sure it will be more intense the longer your in. I really like the teachers. Some of my friends of coorifice have different views but I think they are fair. So fare I've made 2 A's and a B on all my test so I'm happy. I have learned you have to study like it's the big final every day. The Teachers at CACC have been there for a long time so I believe they know what their doing. I hope this helps in some way.
