  1. it was 186...but it all depends on the number of applicants each semester. So, I would say you have a shot!
  2. Which campus are you at? I'm at Jefferson and we didn't get a take home quiz!?!?!?!? Are you in the part time program or full time?
  3. hey you guys...did any of you get that green flyer in your letter that talked about financial assistance? I was wondering if it was referring to OUR financial aid office, or if it was something special offered to medical majors. What did ya'll think of it? I applied to our Financial Aid office with the FAFSA, and haven't heard anything yet. I didn't know if that's what the green flyer was referring to or what. Any ideas, please post!
  4. Got my letter!!!!!!!!!!! So exciting. It's official. I have already called to confirm. See you guys (Jefferson people) next week!
  5. Well, Congrats!!!!!!!!
  6. Was it a single letter, or a packet of stuff?
  7. Did you get a letter?!?!?!?!?
  8. Hey everyone...I went by the advising offices today at the Jefferson Campus, and personally talked with ******** *******. I told her that I had heard that orientation was next week, and that I was getting worried that I was not going to get my letter in time. She asked me my name, program I applied for, and my ranking score. She then told me "well, I can't tell you...but I can tell you this...the cutoff for the Jefferson full-time program was 186. Everyone with a 186 and above got in!!! She said that our orientation was next wednesday at 1pm. I say all of this hesitantly because I know she told me more than she was supposed to. But, I know that everyone, like myself, has been going crazy. So, according to her ( and the big grin on her face when she told me) I have been accepted. I had a 195/200. And I guess (according to her) if you had a 186 or better you can count on getting good news! She also said that letters DID go out today (7/8/09). So I'm guessing by thursday or friday it will be official. Congrats to all of you who made it in! If anyone is going to the Jefferson Campus full time I would really like to meet you because we are going to need each other! My name is Rachel Cooper, and I shall see you guys next Wednesday!
  9. Gosh I hope you're right! I've had a rough 48 hours! I think if I got a letter today, I would absolutely go biserk!!!!!!! Thanks for the info!
  10. I applied to the jefferson campus. I want to call so bad to see if the letters are already in the mail, but I'm afraid they're going to throw out my application. Is that crazy? I'm just impatient. No letter today, now I have to come up with something to occupy my thoughts until tomorrow's mail time. As if a 2 and 3 year old weren't enough!
  11. I think the two campuses have totally different admissions. There are two different classes that they take. You have to check which campus you're applying to when you turn your application in. So it might be that the Jefferson campus is just ahead on the applications. maybe?
  12. I talked with the nursing dept. last Teusday, (6/23) and she said it would probably be beginning of this coming week. So I'm hoping that the letters are here by the end of the week at the latest. She specifically said "any day now." Is anyone else eating, breathing, sleeping, nursing school right now, or is it just me?
  13. Ok people...I am still waiting on my letter to get here, but while I'm waiting, I was wondering if there were any current nursing students (preferably at JSCC) but I'll take any advice, that could give me any pointers/input as to what my first semester of nursing school is going to be like in the fall. I know I can't be for sure if I am in or not. My ranking is a 195/200, so I am hoping that that is good enough. I'm anxious, excited, nervous, scared, and just ready to dive in with both feet. I am quiting my full time job in August before I get started, and I have completed all but one of my pre-nursing classes. I only have human growth and develpment left. I don't plan on taking it in the fall. I am going to hold off on it until another semester. So I will start nursing school with only nursing classes to take. And also, if anyone knows, how much $$$$ am I going to be expecting to put up my first semester. I have applied for FA, but I don't know how much if any I will be getting. Thanks for any input! 14. Just to let everyone waiting on letters know...I called the nursing dept. today and asked if they could tell me anything about nursing letters. The lady told me that the list should be to Ms. ***** (I think she's like one of the main nursing people) by today or tomorrow and that letters should go out the end of THIS WEEK! She said we should probably be receiving them by early next week. I don't know how much faith to put into this, but she said it should be any day now. Apparently the decisions have been made and the lists have been made as well. Good Luck everyone!
  15. I am waiting to hear for fall 09 as well...has anyone heard what the cut-off is for the ranking score? And how many people they are taking for the RN program?
