  3. It is so nice to hear how you love your job. I think once we reach this age we wouldn't be doing what we don't love. Aren't the elderly wonderful...they are so precious...I too spent some time working in LTC and it was very rewarding......Great to hear from you....Best wishes in your practice. Regards, Sue :)
  4. Hi, I don't know about LPN jobs as I am an RN. May I suggest you continue to inquire to the LPN's. I know great LPN's are always in demand. I was an LPN for 14 years before I was an RN. Loved it. Please keep trying......Good luck in your venture... Sue

  11. So nice to hear you made the transistion well from CT. I am moving from Michigan at the end of the month and am so very excited. It has been a dream of mine since I was 21. I am 56 now. I have been a Nurse for 34years and last year made between 55,000 and 60,000 in Phone Triage. I plan to get back in Home Care and know the wage is much less than I make in Michigan. I have found a reasonably priced apartment in Sanford and have family in the Orlando.... Have you found the "new way of life" in Florida to be a gentler easy way of life? What type of Nursing do you do? I would love to hear your thoughts on this.... :)
  12. Hi Floridian, I am from Michigan now moving to Florida. I moved down briefly when I was 21 only to have to come back. My sister and Husband moved down 25 yrs. ago and now my parents and 4 brothers and sisters reside in Florida. I feel awful that the commercialism has made such a change in the environment. I try to avoid the busy areas and will be living in Sanford instead of Orlando. I have a love for Florida deep in my heart. Have been coming down for short visits for 30 yrs. Hopefully you won't have to move far from the place you grew up. My hope goes out to you. Love your State.... Best wishes.
  13. This is the original poster.....I am signing my lease in Sanford the end of this month. I have found a reasonable and tropical place to live. I am so very excited. I am taking a much needed month off from work to feel out the area and get my dog and cat used to their new environment.........
  14. At our Call Center we are called Nurse Consultants. Hope this helps. Sue in Michigan :)
  15. Hi There.... What city are you in? Is there an office in Florida?
  16. The range for Phone Triage Nurses in Michigan is $23.-$27./hr. Chance for OT usually is good. I ranged in the high 50's last year but had 9,000 in OT.
  17. We use MSR's (Medical Service Representatives)have had their EMD training to answer the phones and put the demographic info in...Our program is Intelliview and in the past we used Centramax. We really like Intelliview. We have 10 hr, shifts for the Nurses. We are in the 911 call center and as far as i know are the only Nurse Triage Call Center like this. We are in Michigan. We take calls for a city west of us and calls after hours for the Dr's from the Hospital there.......We are also connected to Intellicare which is throughout the US and use them exclusively for our calls from 2am to 6am.. :)
  18. Hello, I am an RN in Phione Triage working 10 hour shifts. I get 4 days off in a row which is nice. I work afternoons. I really like all the days off and it basically is a sit down job. Su360
  19. Heres my guess: 1. possible PE 2.Meningitis 3.CVA 4. poor ER protocal/ training for triage :)
  20. Hello Jana, You might try Intellicare (phone triage nursing). They have home agents and I am on a waiting list for Orlando, Fla. I currently work in Michigan with their program on phone triage. Try accessing them through the Web @ http://www.Intellicare.com. They are home based in Portland, Maine. Su360 :
  21. Hello Stephanie, I will be moving to Florida on May 10th. I will be living in Sanford and already have my apartment. I have my Florida and Michigan license. I have been in Home Care for 11 years and currently work in Phone Triage. I would like to get back into Home Care and Florida Hospital has an excellent reputation. Would you respond with some idea where and how I would apply for Florida Home Care? I plan to be available for work June1st. I have been a nurse for 34 yrs. and have a myriad of experience but Home Care is my favorite. I would appreciate any information you would like to pass on. Susan [email protected]
  22. Please tell us what the Florida Home Health Care Nurses make per hr/visit? I am seriously thinking of working there with 11 years in Home Health Care.

  24. Thank you Diane. I am at work and could access the site. I sent them a reply and when they e-mail me I will attach a resume. I will keep you posted.... :) Susan
  25. Hi there, I will be moving to the Sanford ,Florida area within 3 weeks. I too am working in Phone Triage in Michigan. Have been a nurse for 33 years....I would love to stay in phone triage but in my search I haven't found any positions in this new field. My alternate choice is home Care. Let me know please if you find a phone triage position and I will do the same...... Susan :
