  1. smithd5- thank you so much for clearing that up for me! It sounds like a really interesting and fun unit to work in :)
  2. Sorry if this post doesn't make sense, but I was asked by a recruiter today what telemetry unit I would like - medical telemetry or surgical telemetry. I didn't know so I blurted out surgical telemetry. She got excited and had an "oh really?" look and set me up with an interview... It left me wondering why she got excited and me thinking "what exactly did I choose?" I thought it was like other telemetry units, but I guess its different? I couldn't find a thread that described the difference... Will any of you be kind enough to paint a picture of what the differences are? Thank you so much for looking and helping :)
  3. Thanks so much for the responses, i'm glad i found this thread. I have an interview on Mon and i'm drawing blanks and these questions should help settle some of the jitters and would help me get a clearer mind so that I can answer without stuttering haha Edit: If anyone else has any other questions/ideas please feel free to add... especially some of you who actually do the interviewing :) Thanks a lot!
  4. Hey! I took the test in Ontario too that day, congrats!
  5. I never thought that when I posted in this thread 4 days ago that I would be saying that I passed!!! Wow is an understatement right now! I thought I was done, and I'm not the type to sugar-coat anything, I'm usually a straight-shooter when it comes to things like this... never did I believe that I had even a remote chance of passing. I was already planning in my head how to tackle the NCLEX a second time and I was going to try Suzanne's plan, or whatever it takes to make sure I pass the second time... but there will be no second time, thank GOD! I think I'm the first official one in my class to reach 265 haha and passed. I'm going to go and encourage the rest of my class who haven't taken it yet not to be too nervous and to hang in there even if it goes past 75!!!!
  6. Just wanted to say thank you, I found out my results early this morning and I'm officially an RN!
  7. Thanks, I know its not a concrete way of analyzing whether we passed or not, but people posting from the same state and day when we took our exams can at least give me some things to think about whether they are positive or not in relation to our own situation :)
  8. If you are from CA and took the NCLEX-RN on Friday, July 18, 2008 - please post here the moment you find out that your name is on the rn.ca.gov website for your license. It would give those of us who took it the same day in CA something to gauge ourselves to, so we are not waiting in the dark not knowing... Thanks in advance!
  9. You didn't check the website to see if you're licensed? I would go nuts if I waited that long not knowing what happened lol congrats!
  10. I had a similar question I think... but it was in a disaster situation... in that case I was made to understand to go see the person with the least amount of "damage", better chance of survival... hehe i dunno, this stuff messed with my head a lot
  11. ^ Oh okay, thanks for the info... Seems like its gonna be a long, hard wait
  12. I took my rn test Friday the 18th... I'm thinking if I did pass and if they did post it, mine won't be posted till tuesday morning right?... I had classmates who took it on a thurs and found out monday morning.. so i'm just estimating here...
  13. Wow congratulations! Glad you did it -
  14. My classmate's exam stopped at 220 and he passed, check again monday, good luck man
  15. Hey I'm praying for you too! lol It was fun reading your post - loved the part about laughing out loud and winking at the camera hahah Thanks again, I thought I was the only one clicking to see when the stupid machine was gonna shut me off lol
  16. bird418- It took me 265 yesterday... only blind luck will get me outta this one if I passed. My mind was starting to shut off in the 100s
  17. Hi, I don't even know why I'm a part of this club. I messed up on the test so bad today, I don't even know why it didn't shut off at 75. I mean c'mon, I choked on a heart strip, math calculation, and the SATA questions... and that was just in the first 75. I crammed the last week and a half doing the learningext.com lesson plans and question banks, but the only thing that kept showing up was priority stuff today. So yeah, I was basically asking my computer to show some mercy and finish me off already at around 100 or so... but no... it was cruel, it wanted to see me suffer... it kept feeding me, and feeding me, and feeding questions till my eyes were crossed and I clicked on answers just for the sake of hearing the mouse click. But the computer kept going... Maybe the board wanted to see how badly someone could fail 265 questions and I happened to be the account they chose lol There was pretty much no more logic with my answer choices from like 130 - 220... the math I pretty much blew it all, to the point they stopped asking me math stuff... Every click I thought the computer would surely shut me off and not let me go on to 265 because I should have failed already by that point... So for everyone out there who didn't feel like they screwed up as much as I did, then you all still have hope. I was just angry that the computer didn't just stop already because I knew I was getting a lot of the questions wrong, I mean I had to have gotten them wrong because I had no idea sometimes what the diseases or meds they wanted me to analyze... So, a miracle is what I pretty much need... Good luck everyone
