Scared about the NCLEX!!
Thank you! I didn't see this message until now and I just got home from taking it. Of course, I walked out thinking I failed, but I'll just have to wait... I agree with what you said...there's nothing I can do but wait and see at this point. Thanks again!!

Things you would LOVE to say to your nursing instructors...
I was reading through these and you all said some things that I would love to say as well. The test questions...I'm SO tired of that. It does help to know that it's not only happening at my school, but still...where do they get these questions from? and, I think if you're a clinical instructor and you truly don't know something, stop and say, " I don't know, but we can find out together" or something... I get so tired of being told something that is so wrong by someone we are supposed to be counting on to teach us. It's pointless and it's a waste of our time and money, not to mention...what if we just kept doing things the way they taught us when they're wrong, simply because we think it's right... I think nursing schools should screen employees better before hiring so easily. I also hate how the rules never seem to apply to everyone in the class. Some people can seriously get away with ANYTHING and then others HAVE to follow EVERY single rule in the rule books... it's really unprofessional. Good post though. I loved this question.

Care Plans - What's their purpose? - What do you think of them?
I can so agree with this one. Our instructor did the same with pulling us off the floor...and then reading what we "did wrong" in front of all the other students. We could show that we got it from the book we'd been studying out of and it was still never right. In answer to the question though... I think the purpose of care plans is to see how you truly respond under real stress?!? lol.

Made a Mistake
I guess I'm going to start this out by saying pretty much the same thing everyone else has said..."congratulations on your good grades. You've worked hard for them...and you earn them. Don't worry about what anyone else wants. You're in this for you, and not them." I know that it's a lot easier said than done. I'm in pretty much the same situation. I have people in my class that are there when they want to ask you for help, but then they either take it and go with no appreciation or just act like your advice is not good enough. These are also the same people who are NEVER there to help me if I ever need anything and they get upset if I "do better than them". I know that I'm working for the grades that I'm getting and I'm happy with that. I just wish other people could be more into working for their grades instead of complaining about people doing better than them. Anyway, congrats again. I hope you continue to do good!!

Imposter Alert?
It is weird...small world, right?

Imposter Alert?
Thank you! I hadn't even thought of calling them. I've gone through all the search engines looking for anything and that is probably the best way to go. Thanks to all of you for your help!

Imposter Alert?
Thank you so much! I'm going to look into it. It's really sad, and even more scary that people have even been able to get away with this as long as they have.

Imposter Alert?

Imposter Alert?
haha. I didn't know either until I got this assignment. If you go onto the board of nursing website, under disciplinary action there is a section for imposter alerts...it shows the people, but how do you make a presentation out of that...it's supposed to be to help teach the other people in my class about it and I'm not getting that kind of information...

Imposter Alert?
hey guys...i'm in nursing school and i got an assignment to do a powerpoint presentation over the nursing imposter alerts on the bon...i went there and i don't see much other than the actual alerts with the pictures and what the imposters did. does anybody have any ideas of how i should go about looking for more information on doing this powerpoint? i just don't see that this is going to be enough information to actually do a presentation over. it's for an exam grade, so that makes it worse. help?!?!
