  1. I use Cherokee scrub pants and tops. The have the side pockets on the legs. I am 6'2 and the pants work great for me. My normal waist for pants is a 34 or 36. I use the Tall in Large pants and they fit like a glove. Very comfortable, and easy to move around in. Length is not a problem at all. As for the fanny pack. Its a nice idea at times but its not always used. I carry a pack that is about half the size of the original fanny pack. It is full of items that I use on a daily basis, but I only use the items in the bag when I end up in a room or something that may be missing some items. Its more of a backup because its not convenient to always have to be reaching back for the bag.
  2. Interesting... where can I find this program? I think I might give it a try
  3. Sounds rathering interesting. I have been trying to get my own "program" together but it hasnt be as easy as it sounds. Could you tell me a little more about the "p 90 x system" It sounds like that might just be the ticket! Thanks! Hope to hear soon mike
  4. Yep, that whole clearinghouse thing on drug test results. Very true. Sometimes its sad to think that they can hold one "honest mistake or wrong diagnosis" against someone for a long period of time but its true. Like some of the other posts mentioned, your making a career change into a very positive and rewarding career. By continuing to hang around those who are doing illegal drugs, you are setting yourself up for a greater fall yourself. Again, it is 100% your choice, but just think of all the time and money you have invested in this career.. Do you think those "friends" will cut you a check for all that money when you get fired?
  5. I will make this short and sweet. You have made a tremendous step to move forward and better yourself. You should be very proud of yourself in what you have chosen to do, regardless or your past grades etc. I can totally relate. I returned back to school this past summer myself after graduating high school in 1996. I fought myself about going for many years for the same reasons (not the best grades, attitude, etc.) but now I am much older, wiser, relaxed and focused. I just wasnt ready back then. Nothing to be ashamed of. My father was a teacher and student counselor at Penn State for 30 years and he was happy when I told him after high school I wasnt ready to go to college. Most kids feel they have to and then fail. Keep your chin up! Study hard, eat right, sleep right, and you will achieve all of your dreams! Promise! Mike
  6. Again, all personal preference. I think anyone will try a half dozen watches before they find something that suits them best. I prefer the Casio G-Shock series of watches. All very well constructed, analog/digital combo. Indiglo screens and glow in the dark markers for low light scenarios.
  7. I have been using the Street Pro bag from Gall's (www.galls.com) When you go to the site, choose bags and organizers on the left. The one I use is made by Gall's and again is called the Street Pro. It has helped me a great deal! Not too bulky in size but has all the possible room to carry all of you stuff. I bought my first one way back in 1997 and still have it today. I recently purchased a second one this past fall. Still the same great quality. PS. I have been in contact with some of the higher ups at Galls about adding more nursing related items to their current inventory. Hopefully its a market that they will consider this year. I have relied on them for my fire/ems needs and would love to stay with them. Mike
  8. Ok so I am coming into this topic very late LOL but I figured I would add my 2 cents in as well. In my own opinion, I think in a penlight I would stick with the cheap 4 packs that you can but online. There is no doubt that they are something you will have people borrowing, losing, breaking, etc. The only real items that I have spent any great deal of money on is my stethoscope and the scrubs and shoes I wear. Being comfortable is the best thing to help you succeed in busy days.
