  1. Wow, what great diversity and wonderful opinions! Thank you so much for the insightful responses everyone!
  2. Hello Everyone What would you do (or have you done) if your patient asks you to pray with them? In regards to holistic nursing would you ever initiate and ask your patient if you can pray for them? I am a first semester nursing student and this is a discussion topic right now in one of my classes. I'm curious about the diversity in responses that this might get, and also any stories that veteran nurses might have. I see that calling the chaplain in is possibly most appropriate, but what if they are really looking to you right then and there for prayer support?? I will be sharing this thread with classmates. Thanks so much!
  3. I'm so glad Spring semester is History! It was my first semester, I had Anatomy (A) Psych (A) Cell Biology (A) Medical Term (A) Yay!!!! My summer session starts on May 30th and I have Intro to nursing NA, Human Development and College Comp. I can't believe how fast the first semester went, it doesnt seem that far off anymore! Great job everyone, we are on our way!
  4. That sounds like the perfect watch I'm looking for! Does it do military time? Do you have the brand? Picture?
  5. Hi all! I'm looking for the perfect nurses watch and could use some help. Perfect for me, means analog, with military time, night light, over sized plate, I can find that easy enough, but I'm struggling to find a watch that I can wear all the time, meaning I don't particularly like the "white band" and am looking for a dressier band. So... any ideas, favorites? Big thanks!
  6. Hello all! I am in for the summer also, taking Human Development, Colllege Comp, and Nurses Assistant course. After those I will be done with my pre reqs for the LPN program. I have a couple left for the RN program that I will finish up in the Fall. Hoping to start Nursing classes in the Spring of 08! I finished my last final today! 4.0 this semester. Hope the Summer goes just as well, and also to all of you! Hoping to start lurking less and posting more!
  7. Thanks everyone! (everyone is so nice) Well I am thinking about taking med term, it is only one day a week, I can do it! I will be at school 2 days a week, tuesdays and thursdays. Grandma will be at my house with the kids. DH is very supportive. Thanks again for the advice/input/and support!
  8. I have a 9 year old, 5 year old and 1 year old :chuckle hmmm I'm leaning towards not taking the med term right now, I need A's! Acceptance into the RN program is based on GPA... that will be my route after the LPN program I guess I was looking for someone to say "Ya med term is a breeze, no prob!" LOL
  9. Hi, I am starting pre reqs this Spring. I am going back and forth on this and I can't decide! So to all of you that have taken these classes, this is what I can't decide: (maybe you can give me your thoughts) I will for sure be taking A&P 1 and General Psych. What I can't decide is if I can handle adding one more class to it, Medical terminology. I don't work, I stay at home with my three kids. What do you think go for it or push it off till summer? Any 2 cents would be great, and very much appreciated!

HI I was wondering if anyone is from LSC (lake superior college) in Duluth. I am about to take my pre reqs in upcoming Spring. The NET test....I am under the impression that the test can vary greatly, either just math, reading, and general stuff or a much harder test with science etc. Which one does LSC follow? Just wondering if I take the NET before or after my pre req's? I can for sure call LSC tomorrow and ask, thought I would see if anyone knows. Thanks a bunch
