Quick Neuro Assessment?
I am also a new RN on a neuro floor. I am so stressed being a new grad and today was my first real day. I felt so dumb. I felt like I new absolutely nothing at all and really that I didn't learn much in nursing school. Is this normal or am I just really behind? Thanks for the posting of the neuro website Dennie, I hope it will help a little.

Hey there, So my big thing to help me relax a little was taking a huge piece of paper and writing my first and last name followed by RN. It helped so much. Today was my first day of work as an RN and it was pretty intense. You can do this!

don't overdo it! you need to take a break. i actually only did the sample test 3 from Kaplan the day before the test. Also, when I went in to relax myself I wrote in huge letters my name followed by RN. It helped boost me up and tell myself that I could do it. I felt exhausted and numb too it was just too much stress. Do something nice for yourself, I chose a pedicure and massage. It was amazing and totally relaxing. Best of luck

Both were really helpful. I think that the questions were pretty similar to some of the NCLEX questions. I don't know if this really helps. Good luck on your exam. Let me know if you need anything else.

My BON updates daily so I am thinking that no matter what my results should be up tomorrow. I hope for your sake that yours are too. I went to bed so early last night because I just felt completely fried. I actually work tomorrow too. Not looking forward to being in a room with no internet because I really want to be able to check my results. I am freaking out. I guess there is nothing I can do to change it I just really hope that I pass. I hope that we both have great news tomorrow!:wtosts:

Hey Lobo, I just got home and I feel horrible. I took 110 questions which is probably bad anyways. I had lots of priority, 10-15 SATA, but only 1 med calc. I feel like crap and it would be a serious miracle if I passed. My last question was priority too. I don't know what to think at this point. I hope for the best for you. Hang in there. We both have a long wait!!! Enjoy the time spent with friends. I am about to call up some of my friends now to go out. Still praying...

EDNurse, I only got a 61 on QT 7. That test represents your worst day at NCLEX. So relax. You know quite a bit by now I'm sure. I am testing today so I'll try to keep you posted.

hey loboscon, I got a 65% on the Kaplan readiness test. I don't know what that equates to but thats ok. And as for the Question trainer 7 well I got a 61. So really I think we will both be fine. I am just exhausted and today I woke up and went to the pearson vue site and sat there staring at it for like forever thinking I can just change the date. I didn't do it though so tomorrow is d-day. Let me know if you take the sample tests.

I'm horrible at time zones but either way I'll be thinking about you. I can't believe its tomorrow. I am going crazy right now... Its completely insane that time went by that fast. Did you take the 3rd nclex sample test from Kaplan? Its in the q-bank. Just want to know if my scores are abou the same as yours.

Hey EDNurse, Those are great scores! You should be great! Just keep doing the practice questions and review any content that you get wrong. I test tomorrow so I am completely nervous. It seems to be the trend around here. Good luck studying.

Took NCLEX and had 27 SATA out of 75!!
I hear that SATA is a good sign. So for having 27 of them I think that sounds like you did well~ Keep you head up and let us know!~

Anyone Up For Random FACT THROWING??
This site is great. I take my test in 2 days! I am getting so nervous and I used to do this with my classmates. Thanks for keeping this going.:heartbeat Some random facts: Bells Palsy: avoid cold temperatures: make sure pt. closes windows when they are sleeping. Some even take eyes shut. Nurses' priority intervention after a patient receives a skin graft is to prevent movement of the graft. Greatest risk for postpartum hemorrhage is from distended bladder. Herpes zoster (shingles) is from reactivation of the varicella virus. 1 grain = 60mg (I always forget this one) Risk factors for legionnaires disease: advanced age, immunosuppression, end stage renal disease, and diabetes

GOING CRAZY, cant sleep...NCLEX in a week!!!!!!!
I am testing in 2 days. So I know that feeling. I can't sleep either. My teacher told me that you are ready to take the NCLEX if you are dreaming about answering questions and I told her I can't sleep long enough to dream. She laughed and said oh then you are definitely ready. So remember... you have come this far. you can do this. What really helped me is to schedule nice things for myself each day... I went to the beach with my friend for an hour, went out to lunch another day, got a massage, and a pedicure. It helped me relax a little and I was much more focused when I returned to Kaplan. Hope this helps.
