How long after getting the "forwarding to the manager" email did it take to get an interview? I got that email today. Hoping to get in to the OR residency program.

I will complete my 1st year of Nursing school at GPC in 2 weeks. I would recommend that you apply to other Nursing schools along with GPC. I would put GPC at the bottom of your list of schools and only accept it as a last resort. I wish I had gone to another school, but I am too far along to change now. The school is very disorganized. Teachers teach from the powerpoint copied from the highlighted areas in the book. When students ask questions during class about the subject the teachers don't have the answer 90% of the time and have to use the break time to search the internet for the answer. The test questions are never on anything they lecture about. We started in Fall 09 with 175 students, the class is now down to 120 or so....after two semester!!! Make GPC your last choice in choosing Nursing school! I just tell myself one more year to go!

I found all the required books at "half.com" for really cheap. I also bought a Littmann Classic II S.E. Stethoscope and it has worked out really well for the Clinical's and the Clinical's Lab. I know some have bought cheaper ones and they have worked also. I recommend "Executive CPR and First Aid" is you live west of town and http://www.heartrescuers.com if you live east of town. According to the sheet, GPC suggest two uniforms, does that also imply two lab coats?

The only think I have bought are the books. I probably need to order the Uniform soon. Is anyone buying there stethoscope from the same place as the uniforms? I am thinking about buying off the web, so I can get a different color other than black or purple. Also, What type are you thinking about buying? I was thinking about the Littmann Classic II S.E.

I was accepted for Fall 09 with Overall GPA: 3.83 and Science GPA: 3.91and a NET 76. The North American Average for my NET was 69.

I live over in Smyrna off of I-75. I have not taken my CPR class but I was going to try to take it with "Executive CPR and First Aid" when I get paid next.

I got a letter from GPC today explaining the situation.

Glad to hear the class is so small. I was expecting over 200. Any reason as to why no classes will be in Lawrenceville. Is it because the Gwinnett Tech program starts this semester?

Thanks for the support. Does GPC help you find part-time work at a hospital, or are you on your own looking for work around class schedules?

Can you check your status onlinewith OPUS and Emory nursing? OPUS says no decision has been made yet.

I applied. Now I just need to get my TEAS score sent to them from KSU.

Is anyone applying or have applied to Emory for the Fall 09 Semester. I have read in other threads from a couple of years ago that if you apply in November that you can here if you are accepted in January. Is that true? I have applied for the second degree program.

Does the flyer say when you can apply? Do you know where I can get a flyer?

I have applied to the accelerated program for the Spring 2009 semester. Does anyone know when they let you know about your acceptance...or when you can interview for a spot?
