  1. that sounds great. i'll have to check into that
  2. I work as an OR nurse and at first it was great. No routine weekends and only one holiday shift a year. Now we're short staffed and working mandatory overtime including nights and weekends. OR is stressful but when fully staffed it is nice to get out early when the cases are done for the day and only minimum in house staff is required.
  3. can you message me more info on that type of work Been there, done that?
  4. hello all! i've been an OR circulator for just a little over 2 years. My prior experience was 8 years of ER nursing. I've become very frustrated with our dept being severely understaffed and I feel underpaid. We have 13 operating rooms. I'm starting to look around at other hospitals to see what they pay. My commute now is 30 min and some of the bigger hospitals in the area would put me at an hour each way. I live in southern IN. I'd appreciate any input on pay ranges. We just received a 3% raise for everyone and if you weren't at the new base pay, they raised everyone to that. If you were already within the new parameters then you did not receive any additional compensation. Now we have new grads making what 5-10yr experienced nurses are making and it's causing some problems. We are currently 8 nurses short and in mandatory overtime with no additional compensation other than time and a half for over 40hrs.
  5. i'm an ER nurse and i think everyone should do this!!!
  6. does your friend work for the hospital or doctor's office or clinic?
  7. my husband works for a company that provides housing. like a dorm i think. i was wondering about the conditions out there. wondered if it really wasnt worth the money. sounds too good to be true......
  8. did you end up taking the job in williston? im thinking of moving there also. i currently live in indiana. if you dont want to move so far there are plenty of jobs in indiana. the only reason im looking there is due to my husband's job.
  9. i'm contemplating moving to williston from indiana with my husband so that we can save some money back and pay off bills etc. thinking about doing it for a couple of years and then coming back to indiana. wondering if anyone works there or any details??? any info would be appreciated:)
  10. im seriously thinking of moving to williston with my husband. do you like it there and are the living/working conditions as bad as what they say? ive been an ER nurse for 5 yrs.
  11. be positive and just review your levels and common drugs. you will get it. i had to take it twice. first time was 265 questions and second time it was 128 and shut off. i used allnurses.com and searched for test tips and common levels and drugs. i honestly think that's why i passed and you will too:)
