  1. I am assuming that the on boarding email will be sent Monday! ??? I have not received anything yet. I got called Thursday with an official offer and was told I should expect an email Friday with 2 day business days to get the drug screening completed. Any similar info???
  2. I have not heard anything yet, still waiting. Got a survey about preferences of where to work about 2 to 3 weeks ago though. That is the last piece of info I have received.
  3. What technology/Medical Record Management is COH changing to?
  4. How long will the CIS position last at COH?
  5. I thought the hourly rate was $35.00/hr ??? It was clearly written on the job ad. A little disappointed.
  6. I have not received anything yet either. I am patiently waiting to get more information...
  7. What unit did you apply for? How was the interview? I interviewed for their rehab unit. All the nurses that have worked for the VA said it was more relaxed and easy going than working for private hospitals.
  8. I am driving from Irvine to probably Mission Hills, which may be a 2 hr drive max with traffic. I do not know the working hours yet, does anybody know about that?
  9. Got the offer , will any of your be driving a distance?
  10. Thank you for the update!
  11. For those that got the job offers, did your status change on the Providence job submission page?
  12. I think the questions that they asked were not too intense...
  13. I was interviewed by a critical care nurse manager (She was helping to speed up the interviewing process) which she then took me to meet the recruiter afterwards and then some other dressed up lady in a black suit. The manager said she got a great vibe from me and believes I will be a good spirit for the helping implement EPIC. The lady in the suit said she would call me by Wednesday. I don't know what to think lol. Hopes UP. GOOD OR BAD???
  14. Did you interview with Rehab yet? Thanks for your reply.
  15. Rehab manager just called me and wants to setup an interview. I live in Orange County. Who else lives outside Palo Alto?
  16. I got rejected through an email from the nurse recruiter stating I was an excellent candidate but they found others that better fit the organization. I did not get invited to the breakfast. I was so confused and emotional because I was wondering if I am an excellent candidiate why was I not chosen. Are they looking for SUPER excellent? lol :) I graduated Dec 2011 as well and I have not had any luck getting a job. I am not understanding what is the deal with this. I have so many rejection emails in my history. Since graduation, I enrolled in a RN-BSN program I am graduating June 6 and hoping someone notices my hardwork and dedication in this field.
  17. Rejected as well, received the email just now.
  18. Hello my name is Jassy and I'm an unemployed New Grad. License type: ADN/BSN in May 2013 Time out of school: 1 year # of positions applied to date: probably 80-100 Dream RN position: Telemetry Hospital experience:None, but I plan on volunteering Where do you live: Irvine What are you doing now: RN to BSN and spending time with my family Favorite color: Pink How you cope with unemployment: My husband is professionally successfully. I just relocated to CA from AZ in late Dec. 2012. In AZ I was having terrible trouble finding an acute care position as a new grad. I am trying to stay positive and prayerful. I never expected that I would experience such a circumstance in healthcare. I am ready to heal the world with my knowledge that I worked hard for.
  19. I dont know if you graduated with me. I graduated Dec 2011, licensed in Jan 2012 and no job yet. Been in a BSN since March. Dont know what to do, might be moving out of here. So many new nurses here and not enough opportunities.
  20. I got licensed in January and still unemployed. I am enrolled in a BSN program which I thought would help, but no luck. I had two interviews and the rejection came from no experience and no official BSN. Im confused because if I dont get a chance, how will I ever get experience. What is also confusing is that I have talk to veteran nurses who complain about the workload and long hours and Im sitting at home in my right mind and with full strength and no opportunity to help relieve the nursing community or help heal the public. My current mindset is to get out of AZ ASAP. There is plenty new grads without work, you are not alone. These schools are steadily accepting students and taking the money and leaving them at the end with no help or guidance.
  21. Fresh and new RN, looking for a RN position in PHX AZ. It is very few jobs accepting new grads, should apply to every job? I am wondering if I apply to jobs I dont qualify, does that put me in the I dont read or follow directions category.
  22. Thank You for all your input!!!!! I am thinking MED SURG/Tele for more nursing skill experience.
  23. Thank you for your advice. It all made so much sense and I totally agree. Med Surg/Tele it is!!!!!
