Concorde in Jacksonville?
Thanks for the info. I did actually talk to someone at Keiser and they, too tried to get me to take another program while waiting for the RN program. The problem with Keiser is that the Jan 2010 start is already filled and I'd have to wait even longer to start. Also Keiser had a mandatory interview process to become eligable for acceptance which I thought was weird. Another thing that I like about Concorde is that all they do is medical training, and they've been reputable for years.

Concorde in Jacksonville?
I checked into Sanford Brown(online) and a representative from there called me the next morning. She basically indicated that since I had no previous medical experience, I would have to go through their Medical Assisting program BEFORE enrolling in their RN program. Yeah, NO! What a complete waste of time. I don't want to be an MA, I want to be an RN. It sounded like a scam to make more money to me. I'm going to call Concorde again tomorrow to schedule the NET exam. Hopefully I can start their Fall classes. It would be cool to get to know other people who are starting at the same time. :)

Concorde in Jacksonville?
First off, I just wanted to say that I love this forum, and am so thankfull for it. I have learned so much from reading posts. This is the first post that I have found(and I've been searching for a while) about the new RN program at Concorde in Jax. I am also thinking about applying there. I haven't taken the NET, though. I've just visited the campus. Someone posted that they have a 100% acceptance rate? That's not true, a friend of my recently took their NET and didn't do well enough. My main concern with this school isn't the tuition, but how it will look on a resume. Concorde has a great reputation as far as academics go with their other programs like the LPN. I just don't know if any of the hospitals will accept Concorde graduates. Does anyone know how long the program is and what hours(obviously it's during the day)? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

A & P 1 Fall 2008
I took A&P 1 Spring 08 and made a C. This summer I'm taking A&P 2 and Algebra. I have Chemistry, Micro, and English Comp left. I've taken a Humanities course, but I made a C, so I think that I'm going to take a different Humanities class so that I can improve my grade. If anyone is in Jacksonville and interested in forming any kinds of study groups(NAT, A&P, Micro...) let me know!

question for FCCJ nursing students.
At my counseling session at FCCJ, they advised us that they DO NOT give any extra points for being a CNA.
