  1. I feel your pain and frustration and commend you for standing up.I have been in a similar situation, however wasted too much time with the hospital, just trying to figure out what to do.Please follow your gut, which indefinitly should be telling you to transfer his care. Our parents are so precious.Good luck to you.............................YOU GO GIRL!!!!!!
  2. :rolleyes:I do by,here by,admit that I have become a sucker. For years I have worked for this facility that is run by a bunch of dumb butts lol.Anyway,I used to crank about and speak my peice. Now recently, all my "bosses"all lpns, like myself, are all oh 15 years younger and fresh.I dont really have a problem with the age,if they would just do something. These girls walk around and bark orders and never lend a hand. They make terrible mistakes too.Well,I dont know what is wrong with me.I just guess I have gave in.All I can do is smile and nod,and go about my day. This is not what I did a few years ago.I would have and did speak up then,I guess I have finally learned that doing that usually gets you no where. Thanks for listening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. you go girl, some people search this site just to cause a big drama seen.I think your feelings are very justifiable. You sound to me like a very smart gal. Thanks for speaking on behalf of alot people that feel the same way!!!!!!!!
  4. :specs:I am 41 and have been an lpn for 15 years. This was my choice. When I go back for my rn,I intend to blow all the younger gens out of the room with all my experiences lol:eek:Yes,I am a little aprehensive.I wonder all the time what it will be like.I cant wait.It will be me time.
  5. :sniff:sooooooooooooooooo sad,I dont like any of the choices. What to do?
  6. HI.I am really bothered about this and wandered if anyone has had to go through this situation. You see,my dad is not getting around so well. His feet are swollen to high heaven. He is doing and taking all the right stuff. He sees a family friend, also his doctor. My dad is 73 now.I lost my mother 2 years ago, suddenly. This is when my dad began to have his problem.Anyway,I cant get him to see another doctor.I even called his doctor. The doc said"there is nothing you can do for your dad".He then made it clear, that he would not tell me anything either. He also said,I understand it his hard to stand by helplessly and watch a loved one deteriorate, but there is nothing you can do."This scares me to death.I know what is happening, but I really feel like something else could be done.My dad still has a good mind,he is not suffering.Just seems like he is not intersted in trying to do a whole lot,to fix his problem or find out what it all is.I also feel like he just doesnt want us kids to know. What can I do?Thanks for listening to me babble.
