Things people say coming out of anaesthetic
I was on a placement in the recovery room (im still a student) and the best one i heard was a pt trying to start a chant.. "Give these nurses a payrise!!" He did get a smile from everyone after that :)

Australia to USA
Yeah i understand how long it will take to get visas and organise employment as well as sitting the Nclex.... thats why im predicting 5 years... instead of say 3 - which i could be out and nursing in a number of different countries other than the US. About the Economy i have faith your President Elect will be able to get it fixed.. and i think 5 years should bring it close to where it was. If its not there thats fine, i will go to another country. Thanks again for your advice tho!

Australia to USA
yeah but im still studying so i have to graduate, do my new grad year and then the extra semester for the USA. well depending on if the USA is happy to have me after my new grad then 5 years would be ok, but i read somewhere they want you to generally have a few years full time experience which yeah i figured would at least be a year full time after new grad...

How would you tell a patient
Yeah i thought it would be the physicians role to explain the condition etc.. But most of the physicians ive worked with tend to explain important things when the patient is drowsy or out of it (might just be the area ive worked in post-op recovery..) so most of the time we call the Physician back later and yeah just curious for like trauma areas what they would do in the situation.

How would you tell a patient
So say a 18/19 year old girl comes in, shes been in a pretty bad car accident. She was also 2 months pregnant and misscarried. What or how would you tell her assuming you dont know if she knew she was even pregnant??
