  1. Well, December has come and gone. Good luck to those who got an invitation to interview! I will push on to the next application ?
  2. Just waiting on 2 more references to finish and then I can submit.
  3. I took it mid October and practiced answering questions I found online. It's nothing like I've ever taken before. Not difficult, just challenging to voice how you would handle situations while hitting all the marks they are looking for. There is also a Duet "exam" after you take it to see if your morals and values match with the program. Good Luck!
  4. I for some reason can't see it either. I adjusted my filters and clicked "past" and see the 2024 application, but with the current active programs...no luck. I'm going to try and email MBU and see if it's a technical error. I'll report back if I find anything.
  5. Let the day of anxiously checking emails begin
  6. Got mine and accepted! Let’s do it!
  7. I got my invitation last year on 4/15.
  8. Submitted yesterday! One of my references waited until yesterday to submit her letter...eek! Now to sit back and wait! ? positive vibes for everyone!
  9. I’m right there with you! Reapplying and hopefully get past the interview this time LOL. The family and I just moved down to Richmond so I will also be applying to that campus. I am going to be taking a science refresher this Spring (covid has made it impossible for me to do it this Summer/fall) I look forward to the applicants on this thread! hope everyone enjoyed their holidays!
  10. Hey! Make sure you have all your ducks in order (classes in undergrad repeated if needed), take the ccrn, lots of hours for shadowing, and a killer letter of intent. I’ll also be applying for the 2022 cohort. I’ll look for the thread.
  11. I got a decline and no waitlist
  12. CONGRATS y’all! Enjoy!
  13. I keep getting emails for the notifications on this forum LOL only a little over two hours to go
  14. Tick tock I keep looking at the clock LOL
  15. Ooooooo I’m going to be refreshing my email every few minutes. Good luck everyone! We got this!!
  16. If you don't mind me asking, are you staying in richmond? like downtown? we are still going back and forth with where to move to. Going back and forth between Midloathian, Glen Allen, Henrico, and Mechanicsville. Weighing in options for renting/buying and schools for the kiddos.
  17. I'm literally sitting on my computer on my day off just hitting the refresh button LOL
  18. I interviewed and got accepted to Georgetown last year but deferred because VCU is just a better fit for my family. Hail mary for sure. I didn't even get an interview invitation last year when I applied to VCU. Just like you, all my eggs in one basket ?
  19. I have 4 friends in the program, in various stages. The majority said they felt comfortable keeping a PRN/pt job for the first semester but once the Summer session hit then they said they hit the ground running. The Mrs. and I saved up enough so I wouldn't have to work, but having extra income might not be too bad. Coffee- I didn't think of anything on the spot to ask for post interview questions. LOL and I also have been going through my head about different examples I could have used instead of the ones I gave. Then I just keep reminding myself that I put my best foot forward and hope they select me. LOL I took a covid travel assignment so that helps keep the mind busy enough to not focus to much on this whole process.
  20. Just finished! I am so excited! Good luck everyone!
  21. Good luck everyone! I'm in Nova and plan on moving down to Richmond with the Mrs. and the kiddos. Not entirely sure where I'm going to do the interview, I like the idea of coming into work early and blocking off one of the rooms. People at work are going to be wondering why I'm in a suit and tie ?
  22. Hello! I'm currently a LPN in Virginia, I plan on moving to Houston,Tx in the next 3 years. I'm wondering what hospitals are around Houston that are worth while working at, i.e. magnet status. I'm getting my BSN-RN in 14 months and shortly there after I will be moving their with my soon to be wife *P.A. student* Any personal thoughts on any hospital in the area, would be greatly appreciated :) -Joe
  23. I was denied the RN program due to my GPA. I had all the pre-req's done, so I'm in the LPN program and I am doing the bridge from LPN-RN and pretty much gonna be a 2nd year RN student just as I would have been if I was accepted in the beginning. I don't recommend CTS, because of its expense...but mainly because you have to cram so much into 15 months. I want to be sure I am going to confident enough with my knowledge of nursing.
