  1. Good luck, perla! I'll be graduating May 2012 from the program....it goes by fast!
  2. Thanks USMC, that's good news! I am starting my classes at Germanna this summer...taking drug dosage, my english, and dev. psychology. I took the TEAS for the first time in March and ranked in the 90th percentile, so I hope it's all smooth sailing with my pre-reqs until next spring! Did you get in @ Germanna??
  3. I've heard there are several scientific reasoning questions on the exam, was this true in your case? Can you give me examples of them? I am the most worried about the science portion too! I'm studying the Kaplan book and using testprep.com
  4. Just for anyone that reads this post and needs a brush-up on all the high school learned basics of science, I found these sites that are wonderful! Go to physics4kids.com and in the right-hand margin there's also links to there other sites (i.e. biology4kids, chemistry4kids, etc.). And since these sites are made for young students, the info is put in very plain English. I've found it really helpful in my studying for the TEAS!
  5. I am going to be taking the TEAS for my 1st time in about a week. Can someone tell me what areas of science to really focus on that has already taken the test? I've also heard there are several questions in reference to scientific reasoning on there....can you give me examples of how these go? Thanks!
  6. jennifer, when will CTS's first class graduate? id like to know their NCLEX pass rate before i consider them. i think if after i take my pre-req's at germanna & apply to their RN program, if i dont get in right away i may transfer to CTS. i'm just hesitant on CTS because they are so new & not NLNAC-accredited & scared this might effect going back to school for my BSN later on.
  7. and your a student at Germanna, right? just cause you brought up CTS, wanted to make sure. if it weren't for your grades would you have been accepted into the RN program though? their website just makes it sound so competitive, & i'd hate to sit on a waiting list...
  8. I have not taken any pre-reqs yet though, should I just knock those out of the way before I apply to CTS or can you get accepted before you finish all your pre-reqs? Do you know what the 1st RN class's NCLEX pass rate was? Such a small class would be nice! Thank you for the names!
  9. When did you start the program at CTS? The only thing that turns me off to CTS is the fact that they're not NLNAC-accredited. I don't want this to cause problems later if I decide to go back for my BSN or when it comes time for job-hunting. How many people are in your class? And what is the schedule like (i.e. Monday-Thursday 9-3, etc.)? What was the admission process when you started? And where did you take the pre-reqs? Thanks for replying & your help!
  10. Is there anyone who is or has recently been in Germanna Community College's RN program? I am just curious if you were wait-listed when you applied to the program or if you got in right away when applying?? Any tips would be great too!
  11. I would just like to hear from anyone who goes to Career Training Solutions in Fredericksburg, VA or has graduated from their RN or LPN program. I have posted a question about this school before and after doing my research I believe I am going to go to Germanna Comm. College to take my pre-req's and unless I get persuaded while I'm there to stay and apply for their nursing program, I will be taking CTS's RN program. Anyway anyone going to or graduated from CTS just want to hear your opinion of the school, job opportunities after, etc.??
  12. Thanks! Can you guide me where to go on the site to find the handbook? So since you pay per credit hour you can spread your classes out as you wish? That is great. Have they mentioned when they will be eligible and/or receiving accreditation for the RN program?
  13. Hi Angel I read another post of yours that you go to Global. I am interested in attending Global for their RN program. I am confident their program will become NLNAC accredited as well due to the fact that their LPN program is. Do you take the day classes? I'm interested in what the schedule is for them (i.e. Monday-Friday 9-3, etc.) Also I read somewhere on here someone saying there's a wait to get into night classes for the LPN program, was this the same for you?? Lastly how much is the tuition for the RN program? It showed how much it was per credit hour on the website but didn't give an actual tuition amount like it did for the others. I would need to take all the pre-reqs. And is getting in difficult? Thanks for any help!!
  14. IN REFERENCE TO ANGEL0411'S POST: I know you posted this awhile ago, but I am interested in attending Global for their RN program. 15. I have looked into NVCC as well as Germanna but how long do you typically wait to actually receive entrance into the program??
