Deal or no deal?" I probably won't get the contract but I won't get screwed either.:chuckle !

Help! I have a contract the recruiter sent to me today and as I read my contract and your posts this contract feels wrong. I am being offered $9.50 per hour (what!?) and vehicle stipend $3400, housing stipend $6750, per diem $4410. for transportation to and from $1000 for a 13 week contract in Albuquerque and the "expense report" says "I agree to keep all necessary documentation and receipts as required by the IRS and return any excess advances given to me( excess is defined as advances not spent for the purposes above). I think this is going to cost me a lot of money, especially since gas is $4.00/ gallon and my gas cost one way would be 450.00! I have never traveled before and would like to but not with this contract. Can you guide me?:

  8. Yes. However, ACLS is required and many of your patients are acutely ill. Long term acute care hospital.... vents, telemetry. Most of our patients are resp fail s/p something,,,cabg, abdominal surgery etc etc......... and complicated wounds........
  9. The only LTAC I know of is in Sarasota.... I work there and no travelers are currently being used... that said. 18 week contract pool rates are $36.00/hour days, regular pool $32/hour and FTE s (1st day benefits) $27-30/ hour days... pt ratios ..days 3 or 4-1 (goal) and 4-5 on nights (goal) new manager and DON are filling gaps with local agency ($34) sooo not so bad....
  10. Florida tends to want to pay in sunshine and they continue to get away with it....I am new to this site and want to travel and have not decided which company or companies have the best overall compensation...I want 2 make more than the $29.00 as an FTE I currently make in Sarasota.....I know I can. I have acls, bsn and recent step down experience... However, I can not put myself out there as an ICU nurse b/c that was 8 years ago...I have floated to med/surg and tele and work with patients that are vented, and are "train wrecks".... anyone know companies that staff Santa FE NM hospitals? I want to go there and work step down, tele or med surg...any suggestions would be appreciated....thanks

I am interested in high pay rates to pay off bills @ home in S.FL , I will need housing, utilities and cable, car allowance,no insurance, round trip air to my location (Santa Fe NM is where I want to be) and would like to know per diem rates in the area.....I haven't signed a contract with anyone because it is too soon I guess. I have ACLS, BSN, and 8.5 years as RN 5 as LPN in Icu. Currently working in a LTAC with vents and tele some drips what pay rate should I get? I make $30 + benefits now...I do not know which travel company would work the best and how do I find out...I made a mistake by going to RNVIP and got slammed with 25 calls and emails with in 2 days OMG! help
