  1. CNA classes are not that hard the most work is done in class. Where you will be learning material out of the book and also doing hands on training as well. The most you will have to do at home is to study for a quiz. But the weeks will come and go quickly and doing clinicals are very informative and you get a chance to use what you learned.
  2. I WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON MARYVILLE'S BURSING PROGRAM. I START IN OCTOBER TO START MY PRE-REQ'S AND WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR COMMENTS ABOUT THE PROGRAM. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR COMMENTS.:)
  3. I have been a CNA for a year and had applied for an LPN program, unfortunately I didn't get excepted in the program and was told I could reapply in the spring. I am 41 years old and don't want to be forever getting started going to school. I love taking care of people so my question is would it be worth it to try and wait to get into the program or should I just go and take the Medical Assisting course. I was thinking about Everest or Missouri College. So anyone with any suggestions or comments please pass them along and also any info on the two colleges if it would be a good thing to do. A lot of schools are saying the waiting lists for nursing school is long because of people getting laid off work.
  4. what is the APNI program. may be a stupid question but i have never heard of it. what does it mean?
  5. i am sitting here and reading all the stories about sacrifices it seems so overwhelming. i will be starting my LPN program in august, and i thank god i am in no relationship because i know where i am trying to go and i don't need aggrevation just support, and my children are 16 and 21 so i have no big kid commitments, because when they get that age it's like pulling teeth for them to talk to you but i had a friend who is a LPN and her kids where like that too but when she started school they were all over here so she had to study in the car and at the library. so i can't wait until august and maybe by then i will have a different attitude but it WILL be worth it.
  6. I am currently a CNA who was going to start an LPN program this august. But there are so many conversations on how there are not a lot of LPN jobs available except long term and home health. My question is would it be better for me to just go for the RN rather than the LPN? Eventually I would like to advance to being an RN. I would appreciate any advice. Thank You.
  7. I was wondering if anyone had any information on Chamberlain College of Nursing. Are they a good school and is there BSN program a good class to attend and do there graduates pass the bar and graduate? And what is the percentage. I welcome all comments good or bad.
  8. I was interesed in taking a LPN program and I was interested in finding out if it's better to take an online course(if so which one) or a campus course. I was looking into South County Tech or the Met Center( who is affliated with N county Tech. ) It's a one year course so I guess it would be fast pace but can I transfer that over to a RN brige program. Thanks for any info you can give.
  9. When you are taking your pre-nursing classes do you have to wait until you finish those classes before you can apply for nursing classes????????????? Or is it at a certain point where you can apply while you are taking your pre-nursing classes???????:confused:
  10. I am posting yet another message. I am moving back to Saint Louis and I found a Marine Corps ROTC program closer in the city. Although I am from here I don't know a lot about the Tower Grove area because my son will be going to Roosevelt High School if anybody has any rental information I would appreciate the inquiries.:wink2:
  11. I was pretty much looking for an aprtment or house for rent I'm not able to buy a house right now. And even if you know of any real estate agencies that deal with rentals. I would really appreciate it.:wink2:
  12. Well I'm not actually in St. Louis but I will be moving back this summer after I finish this semester and take my CNA classes. I will be enrolled ar St. Louis Community College-Meramec this fall. I will be finishing my pre-nursing classes. Well I hope someone is out there that will be going there this fall also.
