U shhould try Umass Boston, they have housing and a very good RN program and u can transfer credits from your previos Bachelors

I am also starting at Umass Rn to BSN and Sept....I'm pretty scared about managing full time job and online nursing course have guy heard anything about the amount of work demanded...?

I :heartbeat my job and the place where I work. The only is that I can seem to make friends there....I know that I can still do my job and be professional but it seems like other RNs have "groups" and they go out and hang out of the hospital. I only been there 3 months but I would like some advice so that I can make some friends there. Most of the are young....Really ANY input appreciatted. Thanks

For all the new nursing students @ BHCC do not buy all the books they ask u to. Fundamentals, assessment (the small one), drug boor and nursing diagnosis is all u need. Laboratiry book I look for the first time after graduation to lok up labs., but we did not use it at all in the 2 years. Uniforms u only need 2 tops and 2 pants. By the way I have tha BHcc thing that u have to sew to the top if anyone interested at no cost.

my clasmates over 40 (50, 52, and 55) do not regret it at all and are currently working as new grads

yes you need 6 credits from language or culture to graduate with the BSN

I will advise you to go to NH.....it's true MA doesn't hire LPNs.

I graduated 2007 from the evening program.....the clinicals are in the evenings always and most people have a regular job during the mornings. All classes and clinicals start at 4pm. By the 3rd semester most people either cut down the hours they worked (including me) or change their jobs and got a CNA/PCA job. In general i like the program and the clinical sites are great. I don't know how hard it is to get in right now but i heard that there is a waiting lis..

I currently work at NWH and i have to say that is a very nice hospital. Living in Newton can be VERY expencive but the hospital is closed to two highways so if you drive you can take those (parking is free). About 6 usen don't know much...i rotated once there and it seems like one of the best floors. good luck

OMG!!! I just find out I passed the nursing boards!!!I couldn't belive it !! I had to look at the word pass for like 5 min just to make sure before celebraring... Now the jon hunting.... Good LUCK to all of you....by the way I though the questions in Saunder's CD were helpful (comes with the book) especially the ones under analysis.

Hi there... I took the NClex yesterday March 17 at 8am and i am making myself crazy awaiting for th "quick" results. The computer stopped after 77 questions but I don't think i did very good. It is the harder test i ever took!! Good luck to everyone!! :confused:
