Question about LPN license in Delaware
Thanks so much for the advice. I also go to Deltech(Stanton) and its sometimes hard to get a straight answer from my advisor. Thanks so much, The reason I was asking was because I currently work as an EMT and want to do something to expand my earning potential, even if its a little bit. That, plus, I want to work in hospice and geriatric care, preferably in a Catholic setting, and LPN or at least CNA seems a good place to start. Thanks so much for the replies.

Question about LPN license in Delaware
Hello everyone and anyone, I have a question. I start my nursing clinicals in August. I am enrolled in an RN program at a community college. Will I be able to get licensed as an LPN before I complete all of my RN clinicals. I can't see to get a straigt answer from anyone I talk to. I'm hoping someone in here might have an aswer for me. Thanks to all and anyone.

Need a little advice
Maybe I could piggyback this post with a question. I've paid for my schooling out of pocket thus far. But as far as the Stafford loans, how exactly does it work. I have always thought that you can only get a stafford loan for the cost of tuition for any given semester. Am I wrong???

How do you deal with female patients?
I'm just a student so I can offer very little hands on insight. But, that being said, I feel that we must remember that our job is to care for patients first and foremost. If there is issues with a male/female situation, be professional and respect the patients wishes, but not at the expense of quality care.

Old man thinking of nursing
I'm a 38 year old Teamster. I started the ball rolling two years ago and the time flies by pretty fast. My APII lab partner is a 62 year old lawyer. Look at it this way. If it takes you 4 years to get through it you'll either be... a) 43 and a nurse b) 43 and doing the same old thing. Good luck 'old man'

Are clinicals this bad EVERYWHERE?!?!?!
Hello everyone. My name is Ron and I'm brand new to this board. I have a question about clinicals. I'm in APII, only have two academic classes left. I took the NLN 1/30 and am waiting for my ranking to come in the first week of March. If I place, I start clinicals in JAN '09. If not, then I can't place again until JAN '10. I go to a community college and the trade off is that classes are inexpensice($87/credit hour), but out of 450 students there are only 160 slots every year. I am in Delaware and was wondering if there is anyone in the region, or in general, who can point me to a school where one doesn't have to wait so long to get into rotations. I'm 38 and switching careers to nursing and am anxious to get the ball rolling. Any advice would be welcomed and appreciated. Thanks.
