  1. Truth is, there's really no time for nerves. Abandon your fear, and have confidence in yourself! You're always learning in nursing, too; if there's anything you can't do/recall, don't be afraid to admit so, and then learn on the job! Good luck
  2. I never think there's anything wrong w/ a change of location. If you feel you'd benefit from a move, then I say, do it!
  3. I've seen so much workplace bureaucracy. Tsk
  4. ...there's so much b.s. paperwork that you have to do. I suppose, looking back on it all, it was necessary because it helped 'drill in' important ideas, but I'm a fast learner and found it repetitive and dull
  5. Dude, that's definitely a breach of confidentiality; be wary of these nurses, and keep your name clean
  6. Well, you spelled 'too' wrong. Just kidding. Stay focused, and don't give up. Practice makes perfect (so long as your mistakes are minimal)
  7. It's best not to become emotionally invested in difficult family relationships. Treat difficult parents like 'customers', and keep the patient at the forefront in all you interventions. Stay focused on what's important, and don't sweat the small stuff.
  8. You have to do what you want; it sounds to me like you need a change of scenery, and that is one of the wonderful things about this field--you have flexibility. Have you ever considered management?
  9. I'm 22, and I find it frustrating that I have to constantly prove myself competent; it all comes down to carrying yourself w/ confidence
  10. Best advice I ever got was just to take everything one day at a time; that's all you can do, and honestly, it's how the field works
  11. I tried working part-time through nursing school and found it to be too hard; good luck to you!
  12. I really like compression socks (found at any scrubs store and most athletic stores); they're more comfortable than stockings
