  1. Any out here- would love to hear about your experience. I am a new grad ACNP with ICU experience.
  2. think about the conditions that caused her to code and what happens during a code that with out proper perfusion, ventilation and oxygenation (you may have heard this as the goals of ACLS). If she had a poorly functioning valve why would she most likely have coded? How would that have contributed to the state that she was more than likely already in before she came to the hospital? Hope this helps to look at the big picture-- you are doing great in asking questions!!
  3. I am stating Vanderbilt's program next week- it has a ecelent reputation-and is online and requires travel to Nashville several times a semester for block classes- I am really excited!!

  7. I could have written your post, everyone has their own opinion but only you know yourself best! I start Vanderbilt in Fall and graduated this past December with an ADN-put your blinders on and keep your eyes on the prize!!!

  17. yes, keep it positive and you WILL do great!!! did you guys do ATI? I used a saunders + their calendar to organize + LaCharity's Prioritization and Delegation- really felt prepared! I am very excited- I am a RN now so next yr is prespecialty-little nervous about work+kids+ classes/workload- do you know if we have each class for the entire semester or are some only done during blocks? I'm coming for Aug block w another RN from NC, where should we stay?
  18. lol lol- aww vandy IS flexible- fo my RN program, your spot was lost if you did ot turn n initial titers,backround check info,ect- now yearly tb and cpr they were mre flexible-- your county health dept is aso a good resource for immunizations meredith! mammac-how's it going, when do you sit for NCLEX?
  19. FNP at Chapel Hill and Western Carolina are not entirely online, class in on campus for a good portion; UAB, Univ So.AL, Vanderbilt are close-ish options :)
  20. 14.9 with no vit k til 2nd day of admission, complaining of a backache "I think my kidney stones are back", no-that would be the big, fat retroperitoneal bleed! :/

  23. I am bridging w/o BSN it is considered graduate for bridge+ MSN work- hth! I got a combo of stafford sub, unsub and PLUS grad - it was offfered in excess of tuition (living expenses,ect )
