  1. Yeap FedEx works great for overnight. However, If your NICU population serves LBW infants then I would suggest having DC planning keeping one or two around to help expidite DC process. Most stays in the NICU will cost at least $1200/day. You can do the math.
  2. A carbed is a lot cheaper than an additional day in the NICU
  3. 40 yes I said 40!!!!!!!!!!
  4. Try keeping a journal
  5. It will cost you an extra $20,000-$30,000 then you can make an extra dollar an hour for your BSN. I have worked in education and management all with an ADN. I am making close to 6 figures in the NICU with my RNC. If you have the opportunity, time and money absolutely go for the BSN.
  6. Remember DOPE: Displacement, Obstruction, Pnuemothorax and Equipment
  7. Who has used the Phillips or GE docuemation systems for NICU? I want to hear the good, the bad and the ugly! Thank you!
  8. Just read the manufacture label. Do you have a license or training in general anesthesia? If not I would not suggest pushing this drug. If a Dr. is going to push this drug he/she had better be competent and capable to rescue the airway. I actually like this drug and think that it is safer than many of the alternative procedural sedation drugs however,.....What are you going to say to the attorney on the stand when asked if you're trained in general anesthesia? Just something to think about.
