  1. I know that the points come from more than just prereq's. I know you get extra points for different things like having your CNA. I don't know all of them, but if you look around on their website long enough, you'll eventually find a sheet that breaks down the points you earn for different things. My sister is currently a student there, it took her a bit to get in because she had gotten some icky grades while at WSU. I think she pretty much had to pull most of her grades up into the A range. Hope that helps! If you have any questions let me know, I can call my sister and ask!
  2. I'm not sure what part of Washington you are heading to, but there is a private nursing school in Spokane. It used to be a part of the WSU/Intercollegiate College of Nursing but recently branched off into a school of their own. The university's name is Gonzaga University. I would imagine it's going to be extremely spendy, and they're essentially a new program so their reputation is not yet established. I have no idea how long it takes to get into there, I would guess if you had your prereq's done it wouldn't be long. Not sure if you need to be a student there already or not. I'd just find their website and give them a call, I'm a EWU/WSU grad so I'm not familiar with Gonzaga.
  3. I'm not sure how the whole "out of state" thing factors in, but if you have your prerequisites done, there is no waiting list at either Washington State University/Intercollegiate College of Nursing or the program at Spokane Community College. As for reputable, my nursing school(just graduated Dec 07), WSU/ICN, has the highest NCLEX pass rate in the state, hovers around 95%-99%. Scc is a two year degree, WSU/ICN is a bachelors degree. Hope that helps. I forgot to mention that there is no waitlist provided you have a high GPA and interview. My school is moving to a larger, state of the art building this year, so our enrollment will be increasing significantly.
  4. Hi all, I've been a lurker on this board since December, not much of a poster, just like to read others. I really enjoy reading the number of questions asked on individual's tests and hearing their results. Figured I'd throw mine in for everybody else. I took the test on Wednesday, January 16th. I got my quick results 48hrs later on the testing website, results not posted on BON yet in Washington. My test shut of at 75, lots of calculations and SATA. I've been just sick the last few days waiting for the results, and i PASSED!!!! What an amazing feeling of relief. Congratulations to all that have passed, and all that have attempted and fallen a bit short. Good luck to those who have yet to go! Nurses Rock!!!!!!!
