Congrats to everyone for getting accepted!!! I just got accepted to the ADN program at Vernon (Wichita Falls) and I was so happy when they finally posted the list on July 1st. Anyone else on here going into the same program??

I'm basically in the same boat! I lived in TX and 2 months ago moved to CO. There is a waiting list everywhere here! I found a private school with no waiting list but its gunna cost 36,000 and its not even accredited. I'm feeling like I need to go back home as well. I also didnt do so good with my pre-reqs so keep me posted on what you find out! Thanks

I'm going to take the HESI Fri. March 3rd. I'm really nervous. I had the chance to take it today but I didnt feel prepared after reading what some people on here had to say about the reading/vocab part. I'm most nervous about the math part though. Hello Coloradogrl- I just moved here from TX and am trying to get into DSON. I did my research and dont feel like being on a waiting list for the next 2yrs. I will hopefully be getting into the ADN program- I take the HESI tommorow and I'm pretty nervous. I was curious what program you might be getting into. BTW I had the same issue as you 2 yrs ago. Should I stop working now or should I keep working and save up?? I decided to work for another year(here I am 2 yrs later)and save up some money which is helpful considering the cost of DSON. So here's my opinion- school is hard no matter what month it starts in and its very costly, I'm ready to get it over with! are you? :) Best of Luck!

Ok everyone, heres what I found out! First off DSON did just get approved to offer this program so theres no real details on class schedules and things like that. But what I do know is it starts April 7th and it cost 35,250. They are offering all the pre-reqs and the ADN program. If you've already taken some of your pre-reqs then of course you wont have to take them again and the cost will be less for you. The school is 24 months with 8 11 week cycles with 2 weeks off between each. This is all I know for now and they told me to call back in 2 weeks b/c that is when enrolment will probably begin. You do also have to take a test over Math and English and he said you have to be at a strong senior level to get accepted. I'll update you guys again in 2 weeks! Let me know though whos all interested in this program.

Hey guys- I'm new to this website and I just wanted to know if anyone else is planning to start at the Denver School of Nursing in April 08? I just found out there is a new program offering the pre-reqs and the ADN all in 1. I'm going to find out more on Monday b/c I think they just got approved for this. Does anyone know if you have to have health insurance when you start school? I read something about it on their web site. I would love any info regarding DSON. Thanks!
