Sorry did not elaborate about the offer. Anyway, the agency will be deploying me in Dar Al Fouad Hospital. I searched for the hospital in the internet and saw that it was JCI accredited. The contract will be two years, which is renewable. They don't require working experience, though the salary is only $500-600. We will be trained when we get there and be assigned to the area which fits our capabilities. The agency has already deployed 95 nurses this year in the same hospital. I have already submitted my requirements, just waiting for the approval of Hospital Director. After that I will be interviewed online and if all goes well, be offered the job. If I accept, I would have to process my papers for working visa, pay the placement fee and medical then leave. Is this ok? Thanks for the reply!!!

Thank you very much for all the information. Now I know that what they are doing is illegal. They are trying to take advantage of the nurses here who are desperate, it's a good thing I asked for advice on this in this forum. I came across this agency - VisionQwest Healthcare Services in the newspaper. Their ad said that for those nurses who have successfully passed their Ca NCLEX exam, the agency can help them claim your Ca License and Certificate from the Ca Board of Nursing by applying for your SSN/ITIN thru the agency. Is this possible? that even if I am still in the Philippines, I can get my SSN/ ITIN? I called their office and they said that I would have to pay $300+ for the SSN/ITIN. I tried to search the net for info on this one but I could not find one. Thank you very much for any information. Have a great day!!!

Thanks again for the replies!!!! I guess I have to look for online CEUs to complete my renewal requirements. I also want to ask if I could take all the 30 contact hours requirement online? And also, since my NM license expires on March 31, 2009, when should my CEUs expire? I browsed some CEUs online and I found some that expire around April 2009, would this be alright? or I should look for CEUs that expire in 2010??? Thanks!!! Really appreciate all of your help!!! Hello!!! I have a New Mexico license that will expire next year. I am now undergoing training in Philippine General Hospital (APCN). This is accredited by PRC for 960 hours since this is for 6 months. Could this be valid to satisfy my continuing education requirement of 30 hours for New Mexico? Are other seminars of training in the Philippines valid for CE? Or do i have to take CE online? Thanks for the reply. Have a great day!!!

I am also interested in working in Australia. Would it be possible for me to process my application directly to the Nursing Council? I specifically want to try in Queensland because someone told me that it is ok even of I do not have work experience as long as I pass the Competency Exam (Part A and B). Anyone tried processing the application on their own? If you could share your experience here, that would be great! Also if anyone knows about the Competency Exam? I attended the seminar of this Consultancy last March 13. A friend of mine just texted me about the seminar. As much as I liked the idea that the Consultancy presented, I am kind of skeptical about this Consultancy. I also have been trying to research about them but I couldn't find anything. I was also not satisfied with the way the seminar was conducted. They had a powerpoint presentation which was more about Australia (places, tourist attractions, wildlife, etc), instead of discussing the process itself. I was also a little disappointed because they did not give us a copy of the breakdown of expenses to be paid and when we are supposed to pay it. Also, they failed to provide us with an outline or instructions on the steps that we would undergo. But they did tell us that they are just going to send these to out emails. I did receive the email yesterday, but still I just want to make sure that this is legitimate. If anyone could give me any feedback about this Consultancy, it would be greatly appreciated. Also, I would like to ask our moderators if there is a way to check if a Consultancy is legitimate? Are they also registered in the POEA (Philippine Overseas & Employment Agency) just like Recruitment Agencies? Because someone told me that since they do not give "job offers" they are not registered in the POEA, is that right? Thank you very much for all of your help! God Bless!!!

Thanks for your reply lawrence01 and silverdragon102!!! That is what's confusing because I only filed my visa screen certificate using the new license in June 2007. And even in the License Verification Form that was sent by the PRC in the Philippines, the license number stated there is the June 2007 license. The only way that they would be able to see that I am from the June 2006 batch is by just looking in the internet results, since my name would still appear there. But, I think that, they should also check the results in June 2007 and see that I repeated the whole exam and not just the parts 3 & 5, which more than satisfies their requirement. I'm sorry, it's just really frustrating that even after waiving my june 2006 license and repeating the whole exam, I still have to undergo these hardships. Even my batch mates who are in the same situation as I am right now are really frustrated. I just emailed them just like what lawrence01 has suggested, so I am still waiting for the reply, but someone told me that I would have to request a certification from PRC to be sent to CGFNS that I waived my june 06 license. But I still don't know what kind of certification this is. If anyone could guide me to the steps and what to tell PRC so that this could be resolved immediately, I would really appreciate it. I am originally from the june 06 batch, but because of the issue, I decided to retake the whole exam and waive my june 06 license. I took the exam last june 2007. Now, I thought that I would not have anymore problems with the Visa Screen Certificate, but guess what??? I do!!! I requested my license verification from PRC. Then just recently, I saw in my online account in CGFNS that they have "received the document but not accepted" it. I immediately emailed them about it and they answered that i should look up this link: http://www.cgfns.org/sections/tools/faq/vs.shtml the link was for june 2006 passers of Philippine NLE. I don't know what to do now. I mean, I already waived my june 2006 license, so that I won't have anymore problems and then this happens. I don't know what document I should file with the PRC or submit to CGFNS? Do I have to submit a new license verification form? This is so frustrating!!! If anyone out there encountered the same problem and already know what to do, your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot!!! God Bless!!!

Thanks for the reply lawrence01! I really appreciate it. Actually I already sent an email to CGFNS and I just got their reply today. Now I am confused because what they said was: "Thank you for your email. Our records indicate that your transcripts have met all of the program requirements. We are still waiting for more information from New Mexico and the PRC concerning your licenses." I guess I would have to wait for that mail, I just hope that everything is really alright. I am now processing my visa screen certificate and my school records had some inconsistencies regarding the date that I started the program. I saw the problem in the online account that I have in CGFNS. It stated there that they have sent me a mail thru standard ground shipping. I am worried that they might not consider me eligible for the certificate but I don't know what to do now. I actually went to my school about the problem and already requested for new transcripts and let them fill up a new visa screen form. But I don't know if I should send the transcripts to CGFNS when they are ready OR should I wait for the mail that they have sent me. Would it be alright to send a new copy of the requirements? Or would this cause more problems for me? What is the contents of the mail they sent me? If there is anybody out there who had the same problem, I would really appreciate the advice on what you did. hello there, anyone there already signed with global scholarship alliance? i went to their office at taipan place and talked to me about their study-work program. Their program will entitle me to have an F-1 visa valid for 4 and a half years. They said I could finish study in around 3 and a half years, so I wold be able to work full time during the remaining 1 yr. But while studying, I would work for a min of 20 hrs/ week and I would be receiving a salary at the current rate. I would not have to pay anything to them and they will reimburse what I spent on my nclex and ielts. they said that the process would take around 4-6 months or may be earlier than that. I would just have to undergo an interview with their agency, interview with the employer/ hospital, file for my student visa at US embassy and pass an online examination similar to nclex. And the best thing is that after my 4 and a half years there, i could change my F-1 visa into either immigrant or working visa. If anyone there could give me an advice about this if this is worth considering. Thank you very much!!!
