Help me find CNA training?
Try Tulsa Technology Center. They should have a CNA course.

"Self-Paced LPN" program in Oklahoma
The LPN program at Meridian Technology Center in Stillwater was self paced when I graduated from it in 2005. We were required to spend a certain number of hours in the classroom and we did contracts each month to keep us on schedule with our classroom work and clinicals. If you want any other information about thieir program just let me know. Quincee

Need some advice
Most programs that I have looked at also require you to work as an LPN for one year before starting the bridge. Langston's campus in Tulsa also has a LPN to RN bridge program that you should check out as well. Hopefully I will be starting there in the fall.

PCOS and implication for nurses
This is slightly off topic, but since everyone that has responded has PCOS I have a question. I was just given a prescription for Vaniqa but insurance doesn't cover it and it is kind of expensive. Has anyone tried it and does it work? I don't want to spend a bunch of money if it is not going to work. Thanks!

PCOS and implication for nurses
I have PCOS. As a nurse there are many things I think you could help a patient with. Information about the medications used to help treat PCOS, diet, exercise and resources where to find out more about PCOS. I have an endocrinologist that I see and she is wonderful. Her nurse is very helpful and keeps me informed of my lab values and such. If you have any questions, just let me know.

Here comes the bride...
Congratulations on the engagement! Are you taking physiology at TCC this summer? PM me if you can and let me know when you are taking it. I have to take it and could always use a study buddy.

Need Ostomy help please...Ileostomy? Colostomy? Can patients have both?
Could it be a mucous fistula? I work for a colorectal surgeon and we have a couple of patients that have them.

CNA base pay
I worked as a Patient Care Partner at Saint Francis Heart Hospital while I was in LPN school and they were great about working around school schedules and I started out at over $9.00 / hour with little experience. They also do self scheduling so if you know there are certain days that you cannot work then you don't schedule yourself on those days. I started out on a weekend option position and there were several differentials for those positions. Shifts are 12 hours so you only have to work three days per week and if you are not weekend option you only have to work two weekend shifts per month. Let me know if you want any other information.

TCC RN Class HOURS
Renee73, Where in OK are you? I went to LPN school in Stillwater at Meridian Technology Center and we had day and evening clinicals. You got to pick which would work best for you and your situation. Our program was also self paced so you could be in the classroom when it was best for you. We had to sign monthly contracts with a minimum of 20 hours per week and as long as you met your contract there were no problems. The classroom was open from 8 am to 9 pm M - Th and 8 am - 5 pm on F. I am currently working in a a doctor's office and I love it. I work for OU in Tulsa and I know they are always hiring at one of their clinics in town and the nice thing about OU is that it is a state job so we have good benefits and no weekends and lots of holidays off. PM me if you want more information.
