  1. I started at st. johns school of nurse anesthesia at missouri state university, last semester. Barry didn't give me interview becoz at that time i had only one year of experience. your grades look good. what about GRE score? you can also improve your chances by taking CCRN
  2. BS engineering GPA3 .50 AAS nursing GPA 3.84 About two years of ICU enxperience by the time I will start CCRN,ACLS,PALS,TNCC GRE 1310/1600 accepted in st. johns school of nurse anesthesia, springfield, missouri
  3. I got accepted in Missouri State University CRNA program. Anyone else is going there?
  4. I got accepted in Missouri State University and starting in August. Can someone help me telling if I need to start studying in advance. If yes then what is the hardest class?
  5. I took my CCRN yesterday and passed it with 85%. I didn't study at all for the exam. I have been a nurse just for a year.i took just one practice test on Pass CCRN book. If I passed it everyone can pass it I guess. It wasn't that bad. Lots of questions on SWANs and Potent drugs. If you know your hemodynamics stuff and ventelators, you should be fine.
  6. Hey Whynotme, Where are you currently attending CRNA college. Would you mind to tell about your GPA, GRE and years of experience when you were accepted in the program. how was your interview?
  7. Hi Jasy, I am currently applying in only those colleges who are starting their program in january of 2009. I f I don't get in I will look for the universities having their program started in fall 2009. Did you say that Samuel Merritt don't care about experience much and just look at your GPA and GRE? If that's the case I will go for it in next fall. Other big obstacle I am seeing in the future is cost of attending anesthesia school. have you made any plans about that? By the way where are you from in India? I am from Punjab.
  8. Hey Jasy, I took GRE in december of 2003 when I was in India. I scored 580 in verbal and 730 in quantitative, essay 3.5. Originally I had come to US as a foreign student to study for MS. then I changed my plans and finished AAS in nursing.I work in Med/surg combined ICU. what other schools have you applied in? good luck to you as well.
  9. Hi Jasy, I did call them for the interview and they said that my experience is too limited to be selected for early interview ( I just have six months experience right now). they told me that they may consider me for the regular interview probably in June. My GRE is 1310/1600 and GPA is 3.84. what is ur gpa and GRE.
  10. I have similar backround as you guys. I have BS in engineering and then I finished AAS in nursing. I have applied in Barry university and waiting for the interview call. their director told me that they have students with diverse educational backgrounds.
  11. I took my GRE exam in 2004 and scored 1310/1600. five days seems like little bit less than what you might need to prepare for GRE. I studied Baron's GRE book and seems like it helped me a lot. English is my second language so it took me three months to prepare for the exam. The hardest part on the GRE exam is gonna be verbal so make sure that you know your word list really well.
  12. the hospital I work in has one combined ICU for both medical and surgical patients.
  13. Thanks for the info. I cannot take that class probably because I live far from the springfield. I would just go ahead and try.
  14. I am working in MICU and SICU combined. Planning to apply for fall 2008 class.I am going to talk to the director on Monday and see what he says. Are you in the program right now?
  15. By next fall, I would have one year of experience in the ICU.
