  4. There is no difference if you get 75, 265 or 200. You will either pass or fail. So get your confidence level up and go into the exam with the "Im going to pass attitude" and I promise you will, I did. ANne PS A little prayer might help too.
  5. Sorry, You can also go to NCSBN who writes the NCLEX tests. Purchase the 5 week program I think its $69 read the chapter and then take the test. Its really good. It helped me pass...Also allnurses.com has a thread called FACTS its just one liners that will help you remember Meds and other stuff you might need to know for NCLEX. Good Luck and Im sure youll pass next time, Anne
  6. Hey clueless, Just talk about why you wanted to become a nurse, and how grateful you were to be choosen into the program as were your classmates. Then thank the director of your program for picking such a great class to be part of. Oh and dont forget the Pres or Dean of your school thank him/her for being such a support for the nursing program. Good Luck and Congrats, Anne NEXT NCLEX
  7. Hi Everyone, Whoooooohoooooo!! I passed with 265 questions . There is hope go by your gut feeling... if you feel you passed you probably did. If I can do it ...you all can do it. 11. Hello to everyone waiting :chuckle and CONRATS to all who have waited and passed. I took NCLEX yesterday here in NH, everyone in my class who took it found out by 9:30am the next day. Sooo now it's 11 am and Im still waiting. I keep saying im going to check it every half hour but Im really checking it every 2 minutes. OMG I now have developed OCD.. Good luck to my fellow waiters Anne
  12. Try this website for FACTS-it has great one line facts that are really informative. Write a few of the ones you really want to remember or need to remember on large index cards and take them with U whereever you go. Good Luck:up:
  13. OMG Took NCLEX today it was 4 hours long . I got to 76 I was waiting for that darm computer to shut down:chuckle, but of course it didnt:no:, just my luck. SO now the waiting game begins. But you know what is weird I still think I passed even after 265 questions. Am I Crazy to think that???? On of my fellow students did not pass and he also had the full 265. Maybe (hopefully I will have a different resut). I really do not want to study for the next 45 days:scrying:.
  14. Hi, I only did the speeches for the presentation of the gifts we purchased but I had to do 3 seperate speeches. The president speeches were short and the instructor speeches were longer, but not too long. ANd I did the instructor speeach a a group, not for each instructor. Ill email them to you if you want an idea. Anne

  17. Hi Logos, My instructor loved the idea of Aunt Sally not knowing that she has CA and the family wanting the nurse to lie too--GOOD ETHICAL DILEMA-so thanks. anything you want to add to that story that would help will be greatly appreciated. Where in the world do I find info on it?
  18. Thats a good one. Let me run it by my instructor. Thanks
  19. Hi all, Just wondering if anyone has come across a good nursing ethical dilemma in their clinical rotations or their medical jobs? Need a really good one, my instructor keeps saying "no" when I give her a topic for one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :bowingpur
  20. Does anyone have any ideas on an OB care plan topic? I only had 1 pp patient and one mom that delivered twins lady partslly no complications in clinical. The pp patient hadnt had a baby in 10 years The twins were the moms first babies... but..she didnt seem timid or afraid..so I cant use anxiety Ideas would be welcomed:bow:
  21. :nuke:I had a hard time with care plans as well. I bought the Mosbys Nursing Care Plan 6th edition as the recommendation of my clinical instructor. So far my care plan have been great. You can take a little bit from one nursing diag and add to another (as long as they apply) with the help of the book. Good Luck
  22. I too took the long road. I did my LNA at St Joes in Nashua in 2003. My dad passed away on the day I was to graduate. It took me 3 years to do my gen eds through NHCTC Manchester and Nashua. I got accepted to NHCTC Nashua's nursing program for the fall of 2006 and I graduate this May. So yes, sometimes its better to go slow. Plus nursing school is so hard you should get your gen eds out of the way. You would never have enought time to read 200-300 pages of text and do care plans and progects and reports with any other classes. Good Luck:wink2:
