What interactions does Suboxone 4mg po have with the following medications: Vistaril 50 mg po, Clonidine, 0.1mg po, Dicyclomiine (Bentyl) 20 mg po, Ibuprofen 600 mg po, Methocarbimol(Robaxin) 750 mg po, & Phenobarbital 30 mg po. Also 2 hrs later Doxepin 50mg po was given. The patient was on the above medication regamine for opiod Detox. found & pt admitted to Suboxone contraband use as stated above. Pt was sent to local ER.

Go figure this one...A Heroin Detox patient who is allergic to Morhpine. Also to Phenobarbital, which is used to treat withdrawal Sx.

I have perfume allergies too, but it usually just makes me sneeze or cough. But natural scents like Vanilla or even Rose are just fine... Weird Huh?

i am actually allergic to said substance, aka marijuana. if someone has the scent on their body/clothing, i go into an asthma attack. if a person is within a half block & is actually smoking :smokin:the substance, i can go into a seizure!!!

I've heard of someone "coming in 'packing'..."but that ones rediculous!!!

Five years ago, on Christmas Eve, I was working at a local State Mental Hospital on an Adult Ward. We had one pt. who was extremely uncooperative & often could become violent & verbally abusive, swearing constantly. he rarely spoke, unless it was to cuss. This particular Christmas Eve, I wore a scrub jacket that had red & green reindeer on it. Just for fun, I wore a headband with reindeer head-boppers & a flashing red nose attached with a elastic strap. I came onto the ward singing, "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". The pt. saw me, immediately busted into a fit of laughter & said, very loudly, "That is the silliest thing I have ever seen!!!" From then on, this pt. was more appropriately verbal, took his meds, & was cooperative with care. Every time he saw me, he let me know that "You're the one with the "Rudolph Nose". Amazing what a tiny bit of humor can do to turn a pt. around.

Not bitter anymore. Got a new hubby of almost 4 yrs & starting a new Union LPN Job at a Detox Ctr. on Dec 2nd Life goes on... Keep on Nursing!!!

I Never lose perspective.........be in my shoes. The hang-up calls, other community members testifying that my stalker was watching me from afar with a pair of binoculars, etc.... If the texting back doesn't work,THEN take the actions I previously mentioned. I left a paper trail three miles long. Keep the texts as evidence, just in case. It may be just someone interested in you, but if you got that gut feeling, follow your instincts.

OOOOoooooooh, duh, a Resident Dr.!!! Still... talk with your Superiors , Security & the local police Get some ppeper spray to carry with you. Get a restraining order if necessary. Stalking is no fun. I wound up with a peermanant restraining order against my ex., which did no good, so my boyfriend at that time (now my NEW HUSBAND) had a "TALK" /c him. Stay safe...

sorry you were treated so badly... YOU CNA's ARE OUR BACKBONE!!! We licensed nurses couldn't get our job done without your assisitance. I have ben a nonlicensed aide, then a CNA,, then Medical Assistant & currenly an LPN of 12 yrs. I t is usually the Nurses that have never been an Aide that have the least commpassion that spoil it for the rest of us. I completely support your efforts. Have a talk with your Director of Nursing & discuss your concerns. Sometimes your discussion will be just the cutting edge for change. Update us on how things are going.

you need to talk /c your dns, his pcp (dr.) & the cops asap!!! stakling is a serious issue & needs to be addressed immediately before something happens. this resident obviously has some mental health issues that need attention stat! as a person that has been stalked for 6-1/2 years by my ex-husband. i am quite aware how it affestsa person phychologically & ruins your work performance. please take action now to protect yourself!!!!!

I had a similar experience dissecting kittens in a biology class long before my nursing school. Cried my eyes out!!! They were twins, dubbed "Pete & Repeat". How CRASS!!!!! I now have 7 kitties - a mamma 4y/o & six 5-1/2 month olds. I appreciate every one of them!!!:paw:

Thanks for all the input.. I checked with my Clinical Coordinator of the agency I am currently working for P/T. I'm sending off the application & the test questions to the other agency tomorrow. I'll keep everyone updated as to the results.:studyowl:

A 6 day old infant who has a resp. rate of 70, pulse of 180 & a slight nasal flaring is to be given an oral medication. Which acton is to be taken first? a. Attempt to give the neonate a small amt. of H2O b. Check the last PaO2 reading c. Suction the neonate's trachea I think it's "b". It doesn't say that the neonate has a tracheostomy. 2. Because of a normal fear that 3 y/o children are likely to have, which of these actions should the nurse take after an IM medication? a. Remind the child when the next injection will be given b. Review the procedure that just took place c. Place a small bandage over the injection site I say "c" because children are afraid of pain & bleedig & a bandage will help the "boo-boo". 3. Albuterol nebulizer Tx's have been ordered q 4 hrs prn wheezing. Last dose 4 hrs ago. He is wheezing, his O2 Sats are 94% on R/A & his heart rate is 220 bpm. What would you do first? a. Phone the PSA Clinical Coordinator b. Give Albuterol & follow the heart rate closely c. Reassess respiratory status & heart rate in 2 hrs. I say "b". His heart rate is slightly up, probably due to the Albuterol, & his Sats are WNL 6. Your 6 month old client is on Amoxicillin for otitis media. The order reads (125mg/5cc) 2.4 cc po TID X 10 days.
