Can anyone help me! I passed my boards in October and STILL have not found a job!! I feel like ive tried everything!! I live in Lancaster CA...it seems that it is somewhat difficult getting a job in this state. Any advice?? How can I get my resume stand out amoungst the other hundreds of new grads going for the same position!! Im getting extremely discouraged!!

You did fine im sure...and one thing that will keep you busy is being on this website. I read thread after thread of people's experiences which made me feel better cuz I realized that I wasn't the only one who thought that I had failed or had mixed feelings about the test every other day. But that is sooo good that you feel confident. I had to wait a whopping 36 days for my results and burst into tears when i passed the 3rd time around! Good luck to you and keep me updated. I just know you passed!!!

OK so hopefully I was overexaggerating from the stress of waiting 36 days for my results...haha. But it IS harder to get in as an LVN these days and our main hospital out here wont let you work as an LVN unless you are activly enrolled in the RN program (or wokring on your pre-reqs), getting good grades, and promise to have your RN within 5 consecutive years of working with them. Geez. I've had my resume out for almost a weeks so Any day now hopefully:D

Yeah cali is all backed up...When I took my test the 2nd time in Hawaii it took 6 days in the mail... Congrats!!!!

Don't worry it was my 3rd time and 3rd time was a charm...keep your head up!! You probably passed!!!

Yeah the wait was a killer, but I think if you haven't gotten your results yet that is a good thing!! I failed twice and both times I got my results in 2 1/2 weeks, and my friend also failed twice and got her results in 2 and 2 1/2 weeks. Our 3rd time taking the test she waited 35 days and I waited 36, and we both passed. And someone that I had talked to on this website waited 36 days as well and passed!! and my sister waited a month and passed. So from my experience, the longer the wait the better!!! Good luck to you!!!! Keep me posted!!!

I passed!!!! After 36 day wait!! I passed!!!

I've always wanted to do this and now after 3 tries I can say I PASSED!!!!!:heartbeat:nurse::balloons: That was a nervewrecking 36 days...but I passed!!! Waaay worth the wait!!!

I got 87-89 questions...im not too sure, but i think 87. I failed at 88 the first time I took it, 205 the second time, and this is my third time taking this test. The only thing that makes me feel good about it is that the first time I barely studied and this time i studied my butt off, so that would be really weird that I get almost the same amount of questions and the same exact result!!!:uhoh21: But who knows!! Wish me luck I'll let you know how I do when I get em this week!! :heartbeat

Yeah Im tryin to look on the upside b/c this is my 3rd time takin this test. And the first time I barley studied and failed at 88 questions, this time I studied my butt off and ended at 87, would it really make any since if I failed around the same number of questions when I studied ten times harder than the first?? It jus wouldnt make since right?!LOL

I had a question on how the NCLEX works. I had originally thought that it throws out questions for you regaurding the 7 catagories in nursing, and with every wrong answer, the next question on that same topic gets easier, and with every right answer, the question on that same section next time around gets harder. And I thought that if they give you the easiest question on a topic and you miss it, your test shuts off cuz you failed that section (and in the NCLEX, you fail one quesions your out. But if you get the harder questions right in all the sections, that is when your computer shuts off and cuz you passed. Can you correct me if im wrong about this???

Really?? There are 25 pilot questions on the nclex pn?? Where did you hear that?? That would be great cuz some of the ones I got wrong were hopefully one of the 25. But then again the ones I got right being one of the 25 would kinda suck. hmmm...still waitin on my results.

I took my test July 24th...has anyone gotten their results yet who had tested in July????? I know alot of people have been waiting from 6-7 weeks, but all of those people tested in June. Someone lemme know Im goin crazy here and it hasnt even been a month yeT!!

I live in Cali and I am waiting for my results...I stopped at 87-89...I lost track!! I have no idea how I did...all I kow is there was alot of meds that I didnt know!! So im feeling not so good about it. Now its the waiting game. How are we one of the ONLY states that doesnt participate in the quick results!!

Haha I did the same thing only when it crept up on 85 I made a point of seein if it would shut off at the minimum, which it didn't. But after that who knows when it shut off, Im guessin 87-89. But yeah no results yet and I hear that CA boards are way backed up so I have like 3 more weeks to wait...ridiculous huh!? Did you find out yet??

Congrats on passing...like you I had 88 questions...I think!!! I know it was a little over 85 anyways. I want to be confident but that got me nowhere the 1st time and I felt stupid for even thinkin that I past when I didn't. So now I jus don't know how to feel. But your post made me feel a little better, cuz I thought that maybe I bombed a section and thats why my test shut off so soon, wish me luck.
