  1. The one time I tried to report DV, the patient ended up back tracking her story once we had someone from security come speak to her. I've often wondered whatever happened to her.
  2. I work on a Med/Surg floor and vitals and I&O's are taken q4hrs. (Now does that actually get done is another story, lol. We get a lot of patients who refuse vitals at 12am and 4am.)
  3. I graduated last year from the program so here's my advice.I don't recall all the numbers they wanted for your gpa but there are other factors that helped determine who would be in the program. You get in good with the administration. I had a friend who on paper wasn't the best candidate but she was able to shmooze her way in. You will be judged by your decision making skills, how you conduct yourself, and yout ability to work w/ others. There's also the fine art of kissing ass which will get you places. I'm personally not into myself but I know it works welll for othersl
  4. Congratulations on passing and good luck! I'm taking my boards in a few weeks and I'm very nervous but I'm going to keep a positive attitude and make sure I study so I can walk in with a bit of confidence.
  5. Hi smileysenior, I am new to the site and just read through this thread. Your year mark has passed at this point and I'm hoping that you were able to move to a different floor or different area of nursing that you're much happier with. Wishing you all the best!
  6. A high percentage of my classmates felt like they failed after walking out of the test and all of them have passed so far. I think it's natural to feel this way because there's a lot of anxiety and pressure when you're taking your boards. I'm sure you did fine and I'm going to give you an early congratulations.
