I am an LPN and I find it really offensive that you would say that it is misleading to represent myself as nurse. I am a NURSE! I went through school, clinicals and passed NCLEX to get my license from the state saying that I am a nurse! What I dont understand is why you think LPN's are not nurses. So, if a nurse has a BSN does that make that one more of a "nurse" than one with just a ADN? How do you define nurse?
Hi, I am Erin, I graduated in Aug of 07 and have worked at a local mental health facility since then. Did a short stint at a LTC facility in between too. Looking around for another job. Want to work in more of physical illness, than mental illness for a change. Almost forgot, I am an LPN working towards my RN.
Hey, I just graduated from an LPN program and I work at a mental health center. We have lots of LPN's working in this company. I am on the small size myself, and it doesnt seem to make any difference. I feel pretty comfortable with the clients. I really enjoy working with them. Good luck with school and keep your options open.
