College of Alberta Registered NUrses Association (CARNA) is the nursing body of the province of Alberta.. College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC) is the nursing body of British Columbia..if you intend to work in BC then you only need to register to CRNBC..if you intend to work in Alberta then you need to register with CARNA.. Your friend have given you wrong information.. You can check CRNBC website at www.crnbc.ca for more info or give them a call...
