hey! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! wish you best of luck!..............im still waiting grrrrrr!!!!! im on the waiting list and its driving me crazy now! Ive emailed farmingdale 2-3x to find out anything about my application but no reply. Well anyways congratszzzzz to all who got their acceptance!

I know how frustrating it can be to not get accepted! But maybe you can try another route? how about lpn programs? How about applying to places a little farther away if your willing to travel? Or maybe you might like another healthcare job besides nursing where you can still be in a hospital setting? Don't be discouraged try other options.

hey kuklara ive been doing the same! lol my heart starts beating a little faster every time i check my status online in hopes that there could be a good change!

3.0 is a good gpa. farmingdale looks at the score under where it says AD in the top right side. I got an 86 i dont remember what my composite score was but i guess we all just have to wait and see. I know it sucks to wait but we have no choice lol. I know farmingdale also takes into consideration how many prerequisites you've completed. GOOD LUCK HOPE WE ALL GET IN!

oh thats awesome so you do have work experience......Ive applied to the regular 2 yr not to lpn-rn because i dont have the required working experience. I decided to apply when we were told that the requirement is now 3 yrs work experience to get into lpn-rn. I really like farmingdale and the teachers but i dont want to wait 3 yrs to get my rn degree. yea anything to get into rn! lol.......thanks good luck to you tooo!

is this saturday going to be the last testing date? for some reason i thought the last testing group was last weekend. anyways congratulations on your acceptance for fall 2010! where did u get your lpn? I finished my lpn at farmingdale in dec'09. do you have a couple years of experience as a working lpn because i know farmingdale requires 3 yrs experience now.

yea i have all my pre-reqs with As and Bs in most except for chem which i think i have a C. The lady said they already started sending out replies to ppl. I wonder how many more have to test yet. Do you know when the last testing date is? I hope there's not too many ppl left...haha

Hey! so i took the nln test for farmingdale today and i got an 86 (composite score 125) which is not great. i thought i would really do better but i guess i didnt time myself properly and rushed to finish each section. but anywayz its just a waiting game now. Hopefully i will hear some good news from them:D.

hey! im going to take the entrance exam for farmingdale this friday. Im nervous too cuz i was told that im on the waiting list and basically theyre jus waiting to see how i do on the entrance exam. You should try calling the nursing department and just ask about the status of your application....maybe it will show that you are very concerned and really want to get in...... lol

i agree with the post above....ur gonna have to apply everywhere and give it ur best shot!!....i dont think ur grades are bad at all but there will always be competition so do ur best on the entrance exams and essays and show that ur motivated.....dont get discouraged!:)

82? i thought i read on ur other post u got 121 or something like that? but anywayz a 4.0 is excellent u shudve tried applying to other places with that gud of a gpa....thanks for the gud luck!!

hey kuklara511!....did u get accepted to the farmingdale program? im scheduled to take the exam at farmingdale on the 19th....they put me on the waiting list ....i took the entrance exam for the farmingdale lpn program last year and did pretty gud.....hopefully ill do well on this one too....

hey!...i studied from an RN pre entrance exam review book nd i did really gud on farmgindale's lpn entrance exam. Its not extremely difficult if u jus study the review book thoroughly. The exam waz all multiple choice and for me it waz computerized nd it waz also timed, but as long as u dont spend too much time on one ques. u will have enough time. We also got out scores rite away as soon as we were done. HOPe this helped....i jus began the lpn program at farmingdale....id b happy to answer ne other ques if u have......:nuke:

hey everyone!!....congrats to all those in the svcmc nursing program...and gud luck in ur dreams of becoming great RNs......i was a very frequent visitor of this thread when i applied to svcmc for jan 09 but unfortunately i got denied.....however i didnt let it stop me and i decided to go ahead nd apply for lpn program at farmingdale.....and i jus found out today that i got in!!!.....i know its not what i wanted but its a great start to getting there!!...... so to anyone who feels like giving up jus cuz things arent working out the way we planned....i want to say "jus keep moving forward with faith and patience and you'll definitely get there!!"........

I was actually surprised...we were given a print out of our score rite away once we were finished with the exam. I was just as surprised with my score as well...i got a 97...i honestly didnt think i did that great b4 i got my score. the lady administering the exam said that we'll start getting acceptance or rejections after thanxgiving or beginnign of december nd a score over 90 is considered very good..... yea i studied more of the science section as well

hey!...i took the pax pn on sat nov.15...i was nervous too but i think since i had recently taken another entrance exam for an rn program i kinda had an idea of what to expect. basically i studied from an nln-rn review book and i did good. The basic math and english should be studied....(reading passages and inferring main ideas, vocabulary, fractions, decimals, proportions, etc)....the science was a combination of cell biology, gen. chem, and some physics....so review that as well......an important thing is to not spend too much time on one question. if i remember correctly: english section- 80 ques.-60 min math section- 60 ques- 60min science- 80 ques- 60 min nd the whole test was on the computer.....(something i didnt kno....lol) hope this helped......jus block out distracting thoughts and do ur best

well guyz....i tried my best to be positive but unfortunately i got my rejection letter on sat..........its all good nd honestly im trying to tell myself that i really wasnt serious about nursing in the first place if this is wat it wud take for me to change my mind......so im not changing my mind and gonna keep on going......ive read posts on this blog about ppl who have applied 5 or 6 times before they got accepted.....so y shud i let this discourage me?.....hopefully when i get in ill write about my experience here and someone else will get some hope from it:up:......lol

Still noo reply as of yet.....im not really sure wat im waiting for ne more....cuz i dont think its gonna work out for spring 09....but atleast i wud like to have some closure and kno for sure instead of holding on a shred of hope......someone help me calmdown:bugeyes:.....ne one else feel like me???.....lol
