  1. and some wrongfully paid for the ATT without getting eligibility first.
  2. How about follow-to-join? They say it is quicker and maybe applied within six months of approval.
  3. i believe that the i-824 will be sent to nvc once you got your aos approved. then, nvc will process your spouse's visa. i think it doesn't need to wait for pd to be current to be granted a visa to your spouse. i am not sure though.
  4. A friend of mine applied for AOS in July 31. He already got the Receipt Notices.
  5. This is only good for those with old PD. In most cases those in the US with old Labor Certification can benefit from this. And this applies to other professions as nurses don't need LC to apply for I-140. Certain analysis shows that the October Visa bulletin does not reflect the real status because the Department of State is still waiting for USCIS to finish receipting of the adjustment applications that surge this July and August due to the July VB fiasco. After the receipting, this is when only DOS will get the real picture and may find that some countries like the Philippines are not really that retrogressed. We can expect big movements in the future, maybe sometime in March or June.
  6. You cannot PLAN for adjustment of status from a tourist visa because that's illegal. Sometimes, you got lucky. While on vacation in the US, suddenly the visa bulletin shows current, and then only then you can adjust your status to immigrant legally and this you do not plan because it is hard to predict the visa bulletin.
  7. I agree. If the US hope to get the former nurses back, then it is aiming at the wrong solution. Former nurses just don't like the job and it's not all about the money. Even if you pay them higher, you can't make them return to their old job. Right now, they maybe enjoying their life with whatever they are doing now. Maybe just a few will be back but still not enough to fill in the need for nurses. I believe that others are just using this as justification to increase the nurse's salary. These people are just greedy. They don't realize that increasing their salary also put the lives of people at risk. The salary of nurses is capped by the current pension and insurance being received by retirees. Increasing the salary of nurses more than what the retirees can afford is putting their lives at risk as well. The law of supply and demand cannot just work without the economic cap.
  8. I was contacted by a recruiter and trying to convince me to sign a contract with her. The contract is similar to that of agency. It has term of three years and 25,000 dollars breach penalty. What is the difference between a Recruiter and an Agency?
