MY ADVICE: 1:it doesn't matter the number of q's you get (I got 75 the first time & failed, I got 75 the 2nd time and PASSED) 2:You should study hard, but you may never see a question on the exam that you've seen close to in your books, online reviews or classes. The studying will then have made you smarter for work :) 3: I reccommend NCSBN online review course over anything else. the website is: learningext.com. NCSBN writes the actual NCLEX questions for all the states! If you do their program, you being to see consitencies... get it? 4: The wait is the worst. If you could bet $ on the feeling that you failed, you most likely passed! I know... wierd huh? If you feel fine about it, who know's? You cannot predict your results no matter how you feel afterwards. 5: You are not alone by any means. This test is an emotional roller coaster stress ball... and people do get through it. Don't give up on yourself. 6: Not everyone get's the "QUICK RESULTS", so you may have to wait longer if you are in CA, (and the 2-3 day rule on the CA BON website isn't axact...it took me until day 4).

It took 4 days for it to post on the CA Board of Nursing website... just when I thought it couldn't happen after day 3... it did!!!! Thank you for everyones support through this crazy roller coaster and good luck to those who are still waiting. It can be done... I'm living proof

Whahoooooooo!!!! I PASSED TOO!!!!!! I can't believe it. Just when I was giving up all hope of passing my 2nd time... I DID IT! Congrats to NURSEEXTER too (we took it at the same place & time). Thanks for everyones support through this.:balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons::balloons:

Suzanne told me that too & I have even heard of the occasional person who doesn't see their name on the website in the 2-3 days... then they get a letter 2 weeks later saying they passed! It is so rediculously screwy isn't it? Everyone of my friends who passed in CA saw their name on the CA BRN website after day 3 & some day 4. The ones who didn't, got their letter of not passing exactly 2 weeks after taking the exam. One of my friends took theirs in July and still hasn't heard anything! It's absolutely crazy too that the BON increased the standard for passing in April (I believe thats the month). Don't they want more nurses?! I just don't understand it. I have had transcripts lost and mail never sent by the BON... scary to think that strangers hold your life in their hands & you are at the mercy of how long they will take. I pray for all of us waiting and having to re-take the exam... it's the hardest thing I've ever faced in my life.

You can't break too. Don't you think it was kind of interesting that we don't know each other, yet we both took our test same place, same time same # of questions & we are both going through the same issue? Don't you think it's wierd that we both came on allnurses at the same time? I believe we were meant to meet... we don't have much else right now... except the fact that there is someone else in the area going through the same thing. This sux! It hurts very badly... I can't imagine having to go through this again! Maybe the 3rd time is a charm?

I took mine in SD too! & got 75 too! wierd. 2x's in a row. Maybe we should take it in "PASS-adena" hehe. I am so hoping that we have tomorrow too... do you think it's possible? My friend said it took 4 days for him and another guy to pass online.

CA doesn't participate with the "Quick Results" through Pearson Vue. We have to check for "Permanent Lisence Verification" on the BON Website. We type in our name, then it either shows up or not. Calling Pearson doesn't do anything here ;( Thanks for the advice though. Anyone know about the online wait time specifically for me in CA, with the info on my test I provided?

The site is 1 day behind, so it says it updates Mon-Fri, but actually updates Tues-Sat for the previous day. In my case, I took the test for my second try on Thursday in CA. The CA BON website updated Fri (for Thur), Sat (for Fri), and Tues (for Mon- yesterday). I studied 6-9hrs a day (NCSBN online program) this time. Most of my friends found out by day 3. Does this mean I failed?!! I am soooooo sad and can't muster up any hope that it may post tomorrow. I had 2 friends who took 4 days to post, but that's because (I think), the CA BON didn't update one of the days. My hospital is giving my position to a more experienced nurse today (they won't wait until tomorrow ;() & I am just sooooo upset. Any advice? I can't work (No IPN) and I am really feeling like I may have made the hugest mistake by even going to nursing school. This isn't worth the pain I am feeling. I studied so hard... it's just not fair.

Ya, the CA BON wensite updates anywhere from 2 am to 6am for the previuos days inputs. However, no Quick Results for CA yet ;( Going on 12 days). Perhaps my lisence will post today. It should update any minute actually.

Oh, and did it post online before your letter came or not? I am trying to figure the system out but i think it's impossible. I have heard the process all different ways. Tha CA BON website hasent updated today yet (for yesterday) So you must have had your results posted on Aug 9, for Aug 8. I don't know why it updates that way, but then again, I can't figure it out.

Congrats! I wouldn't be so nervous about the wait, but the lady on the phone said "so if your ame isn't posted for today, then you can probablly guess what happened. That was very discouraging, as I feel like she was trying to prepare me or something. How many questions did you get?

You are so strong for going on after all your tries! I commend you! I am preparing myself for the news in the morning, and I hope it's good. I took the NCLEX for the first time (75 q's) and I am so scared I might not pass because I can't start work at the hospital without my lisence. I am praying for a miricle as $funds$ are very low. I want to help people and I feel like I am failing in my dream. I guess I won't know until the BON website updates tomorrow morning (for today)- already been waiting almost 2 weeks. Please pray for me. My faith is fading.

Thanks for your understanding. I hate to sound so down... it's not like me. I just had that phone call to the BON earlier & it almost seemed like the woman was hinting to me that I didn't pass. I mean they have to have the results right in front of them, don't you think? She said to me after pulling up my file that if your name isn't on the site in the morning, you can probably guess you results. I wonder if she knew and was trying to prepare me. Scary! I pray to God that I am just reading into it & my name will be on the site in the morning. I will pray for you too.

If my name isn't on there in the morning, does that mean I failed?!? I got the minimum 75 questions, but have had to wait a while for the results (1wk & 5 days). I am very nervous now that I know it may or may not be posted in the morning. I've worked so hard for this and I would be devistated if I didn't pass! What does everyone assess this situation to be? What can I truly expect? Does the BON absolutley update the website with your lisence the same day they send your letter?I know there is "no way to know", but What kind of trends are people seeing with this situation?

I am in the same boat as you (along with meny others. Most of my friends had received their results in 3 days on the BON website, however, it seems like all of the sudden everyone I know taking it is waiting a lot longer. Many receive their letter before the lisence is posted online. I took mine on the 29th of July & am still waiting. It's nerve racking! From what I have found out, the CA BON still uses paper (not computers) & humans to double check the results & to send them out. I have heard of people getting their results after 3 weeks & passed just fine. Hang in there... you're not alone. I know it sux ;(

took my nclex in ca on sunday, july 29th. most od my friends received their results via the bon website in 3 days... others, including myself are waiting a lot longer. i called the bon & they couldn't answer why some get their results quicker. i got the minimum 75 questions & felt like i guessed a lot. i guess everyone feels like that. i was supposed to start working, but keep having to get my start date postponed due to no lisence number. i didn't get my ipn cause my hospital doesn't accept. i am getting very frustrated and desperate. i wish i my results would post. i am at the mercy of the bon and it seems as though the representatives on the phone arent very eager to help. anyone got any advice or let me know how long it took to receive your results & whether it posted online first or via post mail. thanks everyone!:uhoh3::uhoh3:

I know how you feel. Took my CA NCLEX on Sunday, July 29th. I have friends who received their lisence number on the BON wesite only 3 days after taking the test... I also know a few friends who have been waiting over 2.5 weeks! What gives?!? What decides whether your esults are posted in 3 days or weeks. I am anxiously awaiting my results. I got the minimum 75 questions. Like everyone else, I felt like I guessed a lot & I even looked up some of the questions afterward that I could remember. Every week that passes, my job start date gets postponed a week. I'm so frustrated & bored. The BON isn't very helpful on the phone & not very curteous either. I feel so helpless...

Thanks Suzanne. Ya, I'm in CA. I found out the BON received my transcripts on 6/20 (a day after my school sent them) because my schools transcripts lady said she received a "confirmation" of it being received. But the BON said that in my "file" there is no transcripts received. I had my school send a 2nd set a week ago, so I just hope the BON gets that one in time. The BON told me over the phone to call Pearson Vue to schedule my NCLEX, so I did & I take it on 7/29. My job has me scheduled to start on 8/6. I heard from a friend who just took it that I can go online to obtain my lisence # for the hospital (they need that for me to start) in 2-3 buisness days- is that right?. So what your saying is that I can take the NCLEX without the BON receiving my transcripts yet? Oh, and so then will my lisence be posted still? I just have had such a hard time with this whole mess. If the fact that my transcripts have not been received isnt that big of a deal, then I wonder why the man on the phone from the BON brought it up? Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. i have a new job waiting for me to start. the board never sent my att letter, so i had to get it via e-mail & register for the 29th (2 mo after i graduated.) then the board says they never received my transcripts (which i checked- they were received last mo.) i sent a 2nd set last week. the board wont help me & just tells me its my responsibility to keep calling & checking. (for what, to make sure they are doing their job!) what can i do? how did i get 2 bad things happen to my paperwork?! all of my friends are taking the nclex before me. plus, i'm nervous about the nclex, having to deal with this.
