Hello everyone! I am currently here in ozi under a 457 visa for nearly a year now. Lucky that I got sponsored by the hospital where I had my clinical placement. AHPRA did not exist yet at that time I applied. I'm from the Philippines with one year hosp exp. Do not ever lose hope in your dream of coming here. It is a tough road, so many struggles and heaps of challenges, but always believe that God has plans for you.. If you fail, then maybe it's not meant, but then you'll definitely fail if you stop trying. I'm in a rural area(northern part) and recruitment of nurses is ongoing.. always pray and keep the faith! cheers!!

Hi chocokat! I actually failed the transition to practice module with just one point from passing, and the clinical practice. But I already have a passing mark on the first module I failed. So now, I'm preparing for the clinical practice. Still waiting for their email with regards the pre-requisites that I submitted. Good luck on the exam!! read and read and read, its book based..

Hi! I know this may be out of the topic, but I just would like to ask Australian nurses esp those in QLD, how do you document on the medication chart when a drug is withheld because of abnormalities in the vital signs? thanks!

Hi! How do you record on the medication chart when you are withholding a drug until the doctor has been informed? for example, after checking the BP of a patient, it's below 90/60 thus furosemide is withheld. how do you record that? thanks!

Hi! my friend wrote a day month and year on the application for nbv although it wasnt indicated on her TOR. she then got a letter from nbv asking her to send a TOR that has the day month and year. our school cant do changes on the TOR but they gave her a certification indicating the commencement date, completion and graduation date. she hasn't mailed the lacking documents yet to nbv. she still needs a certification from the hosp where she worked that should state she was already an RN when she volunteered..

Hi! we're on the same level, has to take up TPP module and the clinicals. as for your first question, yes you cannot anymore take the one-day part B. Philippine Red Cross is the only accredited institution you can undergo the cpr training. medication calculation will be given to you once you enroll in the module. I'm not xure about the hep b evidence, maybe certified true copy is enough. good luck! happy new year to all!!

Hello! my friend got a letter from nbv requiring her to submit a statutory declaration or affidavit why she didn't work for a period of time. Does this have to be notarized by an atty? or can she just write an explanation and sign it? Thanks!

I would like to ask if the "eligibility" letter from NBV saying you're good to go with the IRON program has any expiration date? How much does a student visa cost including medical exam? thanks!!

The module can be finished in one month if you'll work on it everyday as per experience by Branyan I think. I hope I can finish it in one month but then..I haven't received it, so still waiting for the best!! good luck to all!! and God bless..

Hi countmein! She passed her application last Sept and from the PRC sometime in Oct. They said her application is assigned to a case manager last Nov. 2. She tried to email them but the same reply re the dates of the receipts of the documents. How about you?

To dreaminOz: I have enrolled in one module first, I haven't received it yet. It is sent thru mail. I think you are given 3 months to finish one module. Each module cost $902. I would suggest you email them since it's been indeed a very long time of waiting for the assessment result. Did you submit your ielts? I submitted mine last March, and April for the PRC verification, I received a notice to send my ielts first of week of july and I got a go signal to take CAS on the last week of july. I understand its tiring to read the books/references esp when you're not fully motivated. good luck! God bless to us all!
