  1. All, I took my test for RN on Friday Jan 4th. Results on Sunday Jan 6th. I passed. I feel so much relief specially since I took a position on CCU and started on Dec 30th. I wish everybody else success and if not please try again. Thanks for the support Eddie
  2. Congrats :balloons: and you will graduate in May '09.
  3. I just graduated last week. I precepted in school in CCU. I fell in love with it. I interviewed with the Nurse manager and was hired for the unit. I start Dec 30th. I feel I can do this but still hear that small voice saying are you really sure. I had thought about going back to geriatric where I was already at but was incourage to do something else. I have 12 years experience as an LPN in different areas including Med surg but for the last 4 to 5 years it has been geriatric. I found a nurse on the unit that I want to be like when I grow up. The assessment skills she has by just walking in the room is out of this world to me and that what I want to be like. I will let you all know how it goes. I heard stories that its good and bad going in as a new grad but I want the challenge. Thanks for reading and please give me feedback
  4. Welcome LPNABS, I was pinned on the 5th of this month and the day after went to a NCLEX review course for 3 days (Sylvia Rafield). I hope to take the NCLEX in JAN. I hope that I am not over doing it. I hope that all goes well with you in your progress to become an RN. I tried to do the College Network but could not buckle down so went the traditional route. Peace E
  5. LPN for 12 yrs, 36y/o mother of 2 children, will finish RN school in 10 days. Oh happy day. It's still so hard to believe that I am here. I still have a final but I have been truly blessed. I was kind of confused on where to work. DO I go back to the nursing home. I love the elderly or do I go to the hospital I precepted at and possible work in CCU where I was offered a job at. I am thinking the CCU. I love it there too. CCU has so many young nurses in age there and I feel so old but I think I can do it. Wish me blessing on my challenge of doing something more critical than I have ever done. Good luck to all in all that you do Peace
