  1. I'm seeing a lot of A&P I and II. At my university, there is only one class and that is A&P. Its five credits long. Are we getting both A&P I and II in the same semester. Will schools that require A&P I and II take my class? I'm so confused.
  2. Cunningham is teaching the course this semester. I hear that his exams are difficult. Last semester, when i took the class, a new Prof., Dr. Kang taught the class. Dr. Kang was one of the best instructors I have ever had at Wayne. He tried his best to ensure that we understood the material, and he also tried his best not to trick us on exams. Not only this, but he also curved his grades. I heard that he got in trouble for giving too many A's and B's with this curve. If any of you guys have a chance to take him for micro, do it!! You will learn a lot from him--micro related, and life related. ( Sorry if this sounds too much like a rate my professor review )
  3. Anatomy and physiology is vey difficult at Wayne state. I know this, because I'm currently taking the class. The material isn't terribly difficult to grasp. The text book that we use is very clear and almost simplified. It's just the teacher and the way he words his exam questions that makes the class hard. The raw average for the last two tests was a 58%. He prides himself on his hard exams and making us "THINK". He also enjoys watching us suffer on exams. But the good thing is, I hear he isn't teaching A&P in the fall. Perhaps, you may be in luck.
  4. Thank you so much. I really appreciate your response. It was extremely helpful.
  5. Ok, I posted here sometime last year. I have already applied to the WSU traditional program. I"m finishing up my last pre-req. A&P. Already in the semester, I have destroyed any chance of me getting an "A". If I get a B, my pre req gpa will be a 3.39.( all of my classes have been at wayne state) ( My overall will be a 3.6). Is there anyone on this site familiar with WSU's traditional program?? Are my chances at getting accepted officially ruined. What is the lowest GPA usually accepted? Should I look at other options??
  6. Thanks Kensington. I guess I should also add that the minimum prerequisite GPA to apply to the nursing program is a 2.5. What I wrote above was something extra that the school had on its web page. Those requirements enabled you to be granted early admissions. I am unsure of what early admissions means. The school also grants priority consideration to people that complete all prerequisites at that university.
  7. Is anyone familiar with a nursing early admissions policy? I was recently on the web site of a school I want to apply to and its states the following Applications for admission to all College of Nursing Programs are holistically reviewed With consideration given according to the following admission criteriaThe College of Nursing offers early admission for applicants that meet the Following requirements. 3.5 prerequisite GPA All prerequisite courses taken at WSU No repeated courses Does this mean that if a student meets all of the above requirements, he or she is guaranteed admissions to the nursing program?
  8. 1. Micro Biology 2. Special topics Cultural Anthropology : Sex, Gender, and Sexuality 3. Developmental Psychology 4. Nutrition
  9. Does anyone know how hard the traditional BSN programs at Eastern or Oakland are to get into?
  10. Hi, I'm planning to apply to nursing school for fall 2008 this year. My overall GPA is a 3.7 and my prerequisite GPA is a 3.6. Do any of you think I have a chance of getting in? ( I"m going to apply to Wayne state University in Detroit if that helps any) What GPA did you have when you were admitted?
  11. Hello. I am a current student at Wayne State University. I have just completed my freshman year with a 3.55 GPA. I plan to complete all of my prerequisites by the end of my sophomore year. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how hard it will be to gain admissions into Wayne's program. On the same token, I would also like to know if EMU's program is difficult to be admitted into. Is there anything I can do to increase my chances of being admitted into one of these nursing programs? Thanks in advance
