We rotate holidays so every we work the same holidays every 3rd year 4. We have part time and PRN that pick up other hours. 5. Are are 4:1 ratio from 11a-11p 6. We do not flex 7. We do not do call 8. We do self scheduling
  2. Forgot most important. Do they have computer charting?
  3. I am a charge RN for my ED so this is an easy question to ask. 1) Patient ratio, is it set or change 2.)Do u have support personal. 3)Average d2d and d2f times. (Holding patients for long amount of time gets boring) 4)Scheduling 5) How many patients in a day do u see? 6)Holiday rotation
  4. So my hospital just released a new policy stating that all male team members (including nurses) must have a female present when your patient is female and you are going to be behind a closed door or curtain. Any violation results in termination This is crazy when it comes to taking care of my patients, medicating my patients, ect. We never have enough help, so looks like patient privacy is out the door for my patients. but of course physicians and advanced practitioners are exempt. What are my fellow male nurses think about this new policy. Is this not discrimination? Shouldn't it be vise versa for the females?
  5. The update things as they do it. The pulled my app and put completed next to Passing results for nclex and now I am waiting for other things to get reviewed.
  6. The keyed my application on July 16. Got my ATT on the 25th and I tested july 27th. I did the quick results and found out on July 29th. It took till August 4 for the passing result to show up on my application. Now I am just waiting for get this. Them to take 5 mins to review my application and make sure the dean signed it, I attached a photo, and look at my background check. Why when u key it into the system do you not look at this stuff. I mean hell you have the application in front of you to look at my name and SS#. I swear our Licensing board office is full of lazy sacks of crap!
  7. So I took Nclex last Monday (July 27) I had 75 questions. I found on on Wednesday on the quick results I passed. Now Its August 4th. How long until my license post to the Ga board of Nursing Website. I am supposed to start working next Monday. If my license will post. How long did you wait after you took NCLEX before your license posted?

Its states if I leave in less than 2 years I have to pay back 3800.00$ My orientation will be 6 months long with classroom, simulation lab, and bed side. 13. I am in the WCT program now. I got in with a GPA 3.7 and an exam score of 84 so as long as your GPA isnt very low you should be ok. Also with the class your applying for the highest scores have to sit for an interview and seats for the class are assigned that way. Good luck to you. Mabey see you in October.

We do the work the nurses dont want to do. Job duties EKG, Blood draw, splints, vitals, code assist, just about anything besides giving meds. I am paid crap. I know however it is helping me alot for my future. I start nursing school October.
