Shut off @ 75. Is it true inf. control, and endo high level Q's?
I just passed my boards in September of this year- computer shut off at 75 questions. I left feeling like I failed...my brain went to mush. However, I had 10 or more sata, tons of meds I have no recall of ever learning, at least 5 or more endo questions...and at the end of it all I could have swore I never went to school for nursing.I prepared by doing at least 100 questions per day from Saunders disk, from Mosby's disk and Kaplan disk. Kaplan by far was the most difficult to answer- but I think it really helped. I really gathered the most help from reading the rationales...same thing I did in nursing school before exams. I also did the pvt- wouldn't let me pay...so I was skeptical anyway. Turns out that I looked online within the next few days and there was m name- with the long awaited for RN...I guess Im still in shock...I felt NCLEX was the most difficult test I ever had to take- maybe that is just how I feel, and Im not trying to make anyone nervous...but I usually knew when I passed or failed a test in school- and that one I could have swore I bombed. I had friends tell me they thought it was super easy...(I have no idea where they got that idea), but I always had to put in extra time and effort in school to get the grades I did, whereas some of my friends read the material and got A's without all the effort and torment I went through. So- I guess I would just say think about the question, what does it want, not what you have seen or heard- but read the question without prejuding it. Read the rationales...all of them- even if you know the answer. Good luck with everything, you will pass :)

Loans for living expenses?!
I know you are under a tremendous amount of stress- I remember waiting to find out if I would be accepted (very stressful itself), and contemplating the costs of nursing education is a whole other strssor...isn't it? Look into as many different options that you can- dont give up or "reconsider your future goals", look how far you have come, how much you have grown, and how much you must care-and do you not care? I think you do to even post this question and want to become a nurse. There are many people out there who will give their 2 cents about your situation, however your character should not be judged here- this was a question on obtaining financial advice and ideas, not on whether you should be a nurse or not. I say search as much as you can while you still have time...afterall, once you are accepted to nursing school, and you start hitting the books- time is a luxury. Good Luck and best wishes!

I have to wait until the end of MAY!
I know that it is hard to wait- and it often enough feels like your whole world and future are on hold!!! Honestly the best thing to do is relax and keep your head up! Easier said than done, I know, but no matter what remember why you wanted to become a nurse and keep your goal in focus! You CAN and WILL make it! Good Luck and Best Wishes!!!
